Fallout 4 PC not launching

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 6:33 am

Hello,

I just picked up fallout 4 and installed it on my PC. My system should more than meet requirements but nothing is loading. I get the splash screen and can toggle the options and support etc but when I click play the splash goes away and no game launches. I have put my system specs below in hopes that someone can use this information to help me.

win 7 64 bit
nvidia gtx 780 ti
16 gb ram
i7 2700k
dual monitor
I run a 3 HDD set up. with fallout 4 installed on my primary SSD where my OS is at.
I should also note that all graphic drivers are up to date. No clue what's going on here.
please help!

I had a similar issue (Test pattern screen "Please Stand By" followed by CTD), but a driver update solved the problem.

I have a slightly higher spec machine than you, with a fresh W7 install and have the same issue. I get the splash screen, I get the "Installing first time" message, then nothing.

Win 7 Pro 64-bit

NVidia GTX 970

16 GB RAM

i7 4930K (overclocked)

I have tried updating drivers but to no avail. Which driver did you update neildarkstar?

I don't even get the installing first time. I literally get the splash screen so that I can launch game then nothing. When I ticketed the fallout 4 support I was just given the generic response email.

My card is different... I have:

Windows 8.1

ATI HD 7800 series graphic card

16GB RAM

8 core AMD running at 3.2 Ghtz

Anyway I was certain my drivers were up to date, but when I used the steam update function, it took me to ATI where they came up with a newer update. It worked, that's all I can really say, eh?

I'm trying to reinstall the game and hopefully something will work.
