FALLOUT: NUKA BREAK! RED STAR!

Post » Sat Jul 13, 2013 7:49 am

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=np531fzqWAY As the Ranger makes his way through the wasteland, his purposefully solitary life is interrupted when he is faced with an important choice: remain safely anonymous or become known as a hero? Set between the time periods of the original fan film and season one of Fallout: Nuka Break, Red Star is a dark look into the makings of a legend.

Meh, I can never get past the rather bad writing and the make shift armor. Overall, it's pretty cool someone is doing this for Fallout.

I just watched this on the escapist like an hour ago. It was pretty good. I'll have to watch more of their stuff this weekend.

I watched it, thought it was great! Though the special effects on the Super Mutant were kind of iffy. Nevertheless it was probably the best fan film i've ever seen in my time.

Saw this today on Kotaku. I though the effects and acting were very good for a fan film, but I didn't fully grasp the plot (what's up with the bottle cap, why do people react to it).

I think it's suppose to be a reference to the blue star bottle caps for Sunset Sarsaparilla, and how people would kill to get them and unlock the "treasure". However, that star is red and from Nuka Cola bottles so I don't know.

Considering the budget, the props, effects, acting, dialogue, writing etc are pretty good. Hell, the writing and the dialogue is better than some (alot) of the [censored]e that escapes studios all over the world as premium flicks. Sure there are crap flicks like "Waterworld" where this would stand up easily, but even multi-million doller flicks are no guarantee for good action, good writing, good plot or good dialogue. Oblivion for instance, despite a ton of money is a class example of how badly a movie can svck in near every aspect, from world design over acting to plotline.

Looks very promising considering the restraints and the hype it had to live up to and ecceed in a reasonably short space and time.
