Fallout 4: One of the greatest games I've played

Absotively. I enjoy ESO immensely. Combat is better than F4? Well... It's like comparing apples to orangutans.

Skyrim is a rather poor game for combat. One can get used to it but ESO is fine. A great game for people who like combat. Way better than Skyrim ever could be. The only real reason I played as long as I did was the combat. Very sweet.

Did you ever learn to fight? Many people never do. You see them in their little groups struggling with stuff I solo, just for fun. It's deep, the combat, and takes a while to get good at. When you do it's intoxicating. Running the Imperial Prison for hours with one other guy, most people bring a group for that.. To get you char to the place where they dominate the game is fun and very complex.

Lol looks like I'm not the only one who is getting confused!

Anyways just so this thread doesn't get derailed. I'm hoping that a modder can finally patch in gambling and fights that were suppose to be in the Combat Zone. We already have Tommy's voice work in the game files, I guess all that would be needed is to add the NPCS then.

As for Easy City Downs, some companion dialogue implies that that there are things you could have do there besides killing, but then some of the Raider dialogue I've overheard about the place does make it sound like they were suppose to be hostile.

I will give this game 9/10 as long as they fix the damn permanently frozen enemy glitch.

If certain game breaking glitches are not addressed, this game probably deserves 4/10 at most.

Shame on the developer. :nope:

Anyway great post.

It`s great game although it lacks deeper side quests in quality and numbers..

but I can understand that the development team had to sacrifice few things to improve other things such as battle and character acting.

Good game. I enjoyed it for 400 hours without seeing the ending.

but now that experience is about to get ruined by a single glitch.. that frozen about 40% of my enemy population.

Permanently frozen enemy glitch. You are the first person I have ever heard post about it. As I said in my response to that thread. I just have to try a cryo-weapon now to experience it. To me, it sounds like fun (since I don't farm) :)

Loved my first play through of ESO , not so sure about the Cadwell thing but anyway ....

Absolutely love FO4 , the immersion is great as long as you don't rush it I guess , I take ages on games.

Every time I start playing I have a plan and that just goes out the window at the first gunfire or pvssyr I hear around the next corner I come to.

This game is going to take me months, I just hope nothing better comes out before I finish exploring ??

I just wish I knew what was causing this dreadful glitch sooner....

Now it`s just too late.

I start second playthrough only after I cleared all DLCs because it changes the new game experience dramatically.

I was planning the samething with Fallout4, but my wonderful experience is being ruined by this glitch.

I wouldn`t care if these enemies DISAPPEARED entirely.

But they are lying on the damn ground doing nothing. Everytime I see them it makes me feel stupid and out of picture.

Well. You could just not use the cryo weapon. From my experience, it really isn't very powerful. That's why it just sits in my workbench forever. Of course on this playthrough Mama Murphy has it as her weapon of choice. It's fun to watch her go after Mutant Hounds with it. Now I don't doubt that she was quite a fighter when she was young.

BTW: She is far more attractive if you actually put her in real clothes. I have her in a clean blue dress.

The problem is they are already used.

There is nothing I can do to fix the broken enemies myself.

If you go to my Big John Salvage you will find 10 LVL 160 Super mutant Warlord lying on ground doing nothing.

This is very serious glitch, not just a small ignorable one.

I know at least two other posts on the forum talking about the very same glitch, and many others on other websites.

The biggest difference between Fallout 4 and Fallout 3, Vegas is that

Fallout 4 is designed to be played for indefinite amount of time after the faction ending.

However,

Bethesda even failed on this small little advantage Fallout4 has with another glitch they failed to prevent.

Just fix it next patch.

It must be done and it should be done.

Wish that had happened to me. I had so many Primus' and Overlords when I went there I had to hide on the 2nd floor and snipe them so they didn't kill me EVERY time!

Equipe Any kind of freezing automatic weapon and overdrive... kill any enemy while they are frozen.

After that one killing they will never ever be bothering you again.....

I need more enemies though. On PS4 I cannot use mod to increase the number of enemy or their strength...

So this bug affecting near 40% of my enemies is really really big problem.

Just to clear things out, it did not happen all at once.

I played this game 400 hours with my first character.. the glitch started with one harmless enemy, then two.. three... and now it epidemic.

I strongly believe most of them were caused by Freezing Knuckle.. and freezing gatling laser I was trying out when I was bored with all other weapons...

A huge mistake..

The Title is just perfect because its made by an Fan. Trust me, if i would do Text you just would see that iam from the Opposition Site. My Threadtitle and even the Text wouldnt sound that smooth. Its good Fan Critism. We are not here just to revere Bethesda or? This isnt Scientology.

Nothing wrong with that.

Just because you criticize something doesnt make the overall experience bad, in fact if you have taken the time to appreciate the games positive and find the games negatives (in your opinion) it probably says you've paid attention to the game more than someone praising it as the best thing ever with no faults whatsoever.

I loved the recent Witcher 3, but even then I felt the game had plenty of negatives that CDProjektRed could learn from to make Cyberpunk 2077 a much better game.

I loved Dying Lights, and again it had plenty of issues going for it (like one of the worst storylines ever), and I still enjoy that game very much and have fond memories of certain things I could do.

Similarly FO4 is an amazing game I am enjoying very much right now, but there are flaws in the game all over the place, and it speaks volumes of how good some aspects of the game in my opinion are that I still play regardless of some of the problems I hate very much.

In all cases there are things the developers can expand on/improve and make the game so much better, and hopefully (but unlikely) the criticisms posted on this board will cause some kind of change in the development for the next TES/Fallout. In my opinion, the Witcher/Cyberpunk need to not overhype a certain faction only to have them appear as easy-as-fudge enemies with nothing terrifying about them, or to find ways to avoid the typical RPG over-powered too early problem. In my opinion Dying Light needs to definately hire a better writer, and introduce more side quests. And in my opinion for Fallout it is to embrace further RP mechanics not dumb them down and create a fantastic RP game with good shooter mechanics, and to embrace and expand what New Vegas did, not dump it all and move on, and to embrace what Witcher did with consequences associated with your actions affecting entire landscapes.

Did you post a bug report about that? First time I've ever heard of it. Probably won't get fixed if it doesn't get proper bug reports.

That's assuming that everyone has the PC version, where mods are only available currently. I feel like us commenters need to put a note in our signatures that state which gaming platform we play FO4 on so irrelevant advice won't be given if we have questions...
