Fallout: Online?

I know they were working on one, but it got cancelled and Bethesda won the rights, but will there ever be a Fallout: Online game? I'd pay good money for something that awesome.

I really hope not.
Let single-player games be single-player and let multi-player games be multi-player.
Don't mix the two, it never ends well.

Maybe.

There is no yes, there is no no, there is no likely, there is no unlikely, it's maybe.
Maybe they will, maybe they won't.

But if they are, it's going to be a couple of years after Elder Scrolls Online.

overusednames, I take it you're not happy about Elder Scrolls online? And Gabriel, I hope they do, they were working on one. It'd make a lot of sense for Bethesda to do one. And it'd make them a lot more money.

There are several reasons why I would not want a Fallout: Online. The biggest reason must be that I don't want lots of other people jumping around doing random shenanigans. I know the concept of a Fallout: Online game sounds fun, but one of Fallout's many charms is the feeling of loneliness, and that feeling is going to disappear if we make a game like this.

I'm against the idea of such a game, unless they are able to execute it in a very good way.

Erginho, that's very true. I do love the feeling of loneliness. But I also love playing with my friends. Maybe they can execute it like Dead Island did? Just a thought.

Not at all.

I'm on this boat. Why companies feel the need to make MMO's of single-player series just to make more money I'll never know.

I really hope Fallout Online never sees the light of day.

I was actually kind of excited for Interplays MMO.
It would be nice to see a Fallout game that wasn't based on Oblivions game mechanics and playstyle.
Even if the game would be semi-canon at best.

Only the core mechanics were similar. There's enough in the two games to differentiate them entirely.

In comparison between NV and FO3/OBL maybe, but between FO3 and OBL, nope. Fallout 3 shares more with Oblivion than it does with Fallout 1/2.
