duh, typo in title (can a moderator correct that? T_T )

Anyways, feel free to discuss. I know that we have seemed a bit inactive in the last weeks but im back and the other guys were still working on things so there wasn't a hold in the FOOK development, just a lack of infos to the public due to my absence.

edit:
the Barrett M82A3 Silenced (Black) is a normal rifle skill again.. :woot:
I :wub: my rifle :)

I've been playing with this too, and must say it's VERY nice work :goodjob: I tried the old FOOK way back, but something in it made me not to use it, whatever it was, it's not in this version :D

BTW, is the M14 Springfield inaccurate, or do i just svck? And a shame i can't add a scope to it, or Abakan, with WMK yet.

It is? My M82A3 had the Bomb Icon for the Hotkey icon, so I assumed it was a Big Guns... have'ta whip out FO3Edit and have a look see.

I think in the last thread for FOOK2 people spoke of a bug with Zeta and Sally appearing out of nowhere. (Unless that was another mod) But I just got the problem when I put in FOOK2. Did someone explain a fix in the last thread?

Fixes for FOOK2 issues
  • http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mmyh34zztjz *fix'd [FOOK2 - Mothership Zeta.esp] <-- Fixes Sally greeting the Player prematurely. (also ensures she's in her cell when needed)
  • http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mnljztn2ybi *fix'd [EVE] <--Redirects EVE to look for those models in the appropriate filepaths
  • http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ce41mztumkw [DIK] <-- If The Pitt isn't popping, load this once, then save and remove it after getting the quest update.
  • http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ljl2izyyt1n [DIK] <--If the Utility tunnel to the White House behaves ...strangely, this will fix it.
  • http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?nkgn4mnrzml [Main.ESM] Gives Simms the right ammo for his Norinco. Load it, save, remove it.

those fixes will be of course part of the upcoming patch (v1.1) which should be available in around 2-3 weeks.

my favorite http://www.chinapage.com/sunzi-e.html#01 to the texts, both english and chinese :)

my favorite verses are from chapter one: laying plans:

17. According as circumstances are favorable,
one should modify one's plans.

18. All warfare is based on deception.

19. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable;
when using our forces, we must seem inactive;
when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away;
when far away, we must make him believe we are near.

verse 18 is often quoted, but gains meaning next to it's neighboring verses
especially verse 17
:)

edit: hey link, maybe an idea for fook2? Extra skill books from the art of war that randomly raise either skills, specials, or in some cases add a perk..
just thinking out loud
:)

If you have Fook2 RC do you need to update to the 1.0 version? Meaning any changes from the RC to the release version.

I believe 1.0 is the RC...

RC = release candidate so yes thats the "release version".

I'm sorry if this is confusing but there wont be anymore version resets for a long time. ^^

I don't particularly like it when mods use the whole 'release candidate' version system. It's just troublesome and confusing.

IMHO it's better to stick with the simple X.Y.Z system where X is the major version, Y is the minor version, and Z is the revision. Major versions would have incompatibilities, minor versions would denote new features or changes that are compatible with the previous versions, and revisions are fixes to the existing features.

In this case you'd have the current release as version 2.0.0. And those hot fixes posted previously might make up 2.0.1, etc.

Keeping your version naming consistent and avoiding resets is really helpful in the long run.

So this RC version is different from the old 1.0?

Also, question: what the hell are the destroyed power armors for? I thought someone said you could repair other PAs with them, but it doesn't let me - and when I try scrapping it, I have no idea what it gives me (if it gives me anything at all).

I installed FOOK2 again (can't live without it :() and I noticed a copyright mark in the installer's background picture.
What's up with that?
And this is a thongue-in-cheek question - just curious.
I just find it quite absurd to use a copyright mark in a mod which is pretty much based on content made by people outside the FOOK team :P

Also, could someone direct me a way on how to remove my mods in FOOK2 - Followers Amata and Autumn out of FOOK2? Obviously they conflict with FOOK2 so I find it hard to patch the followers without disabling FOOK2.

well dont take the copyright thing too serious but its afterall our work (that we use a lot of other people resources doesn't matter just as it doesn't matter that our work is also based on bethesda's stuff) and basicly means "don't take credit for FOOK or redistribute / edit it without our consent".

I noticed a sligth error in Anchorage, the Sniper package description reads "Watz 2000 Laser Rifle", but in reality it gives an AER9 Laser Rfile.

At level 30 after eliminating lots of them I haven't encountered a single one.

Guess I should keep killing them?

What's up with the Barret? The hotkey icon and FO3Edit say it's a Big Gun, but when i equip it, it behaves like a small gun (my character has Big Guns <25, Small Guns 100), so which is it? :confused:
