Fallout 4 Performance issues.

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 7:49 pm

Hello,

Forgive me if i put in anything wrong, i just recently registered on this forum.

I have done a couple of machine test to see how my pc would run Fallout 4.

All came out great: Ultra.

Now i actually bought the game.. After the 3 hour installation it would detect my system automatically and set it so my pc could handle it or something.

It mentioned: Your game has been set to: Ultra settings.

In the start no problem everything nice and smooth (Weird 60 FPS Cap tho)?

But when entering open world. HORRIBLE lag!

I am talking about 34-38-45-34-36 FPS.

Fine, so i just took the hit in the gut and set my settings lower how terrible that felt for me.

But nothing changed.. still the same terrible fps..

But nothing really helps?? Medium is 35-40 fps. And so is low settings?

Please help?

My system specs:

i5 4670 3.40 GHz haswell CPU

AMD Radeon Asus Direct CU II OC Edition R9 290x

16 GB DDr3 Corsair vengeance.

750 Watt PSU Antec.

Further my HDD is a 2 TB Western digital 7200 RPM and a Samsung 126 GB SSD For windows.

Hi,

It's a huge map. The continuously variable fps is the part of the game.

I have an AMD FX6000 + 7970 and the game is smooth.

So something is wrong in your system.

Can you be more specific about what is wrong in my system?

I have the same Issue

20-35 fps ingame with low-extrem settings

Gpu Usage not over 50%

If i change UHD to FHD i have "smooth" 30-35fps but in startscreen always 60fps

Intel i7-4790k@4,6ghz

2x GTX 980

Game on SSD

16Gb RAM

Win 10 Home

MY "solution"

Disable Sli

Runs with 40-47 fps Extreme settings UHD

Not sure.

Try to reinstall vga and chipset drivers.

Close all nonessential programs

If Windows is running for years, a new fresh and clean install worth the time.

Windows 10 can be a problem.

Try using borderless windowed mode. It worked wonders for me!

Interesting you're getting that issue

Intel i5 [email protected]

1x GTX 980ti

Game on HDD

8gb ddr4 ram

win7

With those specs my GPU and processor aren't reaching 50% usage AND i get a solid fps at 72 (since 72 seems to be my cap and uncapping it makes game go bonkers), no matter what i do i cannot budge that fps in game.
