Fallout 4 Played On Geek & Sundry's Twitch Channel On Mo

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 11:25 pm

Monday (November 9) all day (from 5:00 Pacific Time to 18:30 Pacific Time), Geek and Sundry will be playing Fallout 4 on their twitch channel. Link to G&S Twitch Channel http://www.twitch.tv/geekandsundry.

I'm not a fan of watching others play games, but I am going to peek into this to see what FO 4 will be like :)

Thought I'd share this for anyone else interested.

So it's on Monday because that's when the review embargo lifts, right? I guess that also means that that's when releasing images, videos and streaming would be allowed, too.

Seriously though, why would anyone watch someone else play a game instead of you

that you can play yourself only hours later?

It may apply more to people who either cannot play the game yet for whatever reason, or have chosen to wait and see more of the game to get a real impression of how it feels minus actually playing.

For me, it is because I am not sold on the game. Watching them play may help me decide whether or not to buy the game (after all DLCs are released).

[EDIT]

Nate, yes Monday is the lifting of the embargo :)

Simple reason it lets you build a character without having to restart

Wow. That's why I'm glad I come to this forum. I've seen very brief, very spoiler-free leaked videos and it was enough to satisfy me until the game comes out. But if I'd stumbled on some YouTube videos that showed serious story-oriented spoilers I'd be pissed. I know now to go COMPLETELY dark on Monday.

I think it's a mistake to lift the review embargo before the general release. Too many people without self-control will watch stuff and kick themselves for it later.

By the time most US streamers start I will probably already have the game.( time traveling Australian here, at least thats what Pete Hines thinks we do) But I really rather experience it myself, I wouldnt mind some clips of the power armours and a bit more info about them but anything story related I dont want to know a single thing about. I just dont see how people are able to watch these streamers make their way to the vault and than have it shown to them, something we have been waiting to find out ourselves since the E3 footage. To each their own, but damn...

Thanks. I expect I won't be able to resist peeking in on at least one stream at some point. I expect they'll be ubiquitous.

I'm subbed to their YouTube (Tabletop rules!) but won't be watching any more FO4 vids (watched some of the leaked footage) until after I've had the game for over a week.

I felt kind of strange playing Fallout 3 while the twitch was on :)

Some of the game looks good. The G&S players were having to hit a button to get critical hits? Really? Quicktime Events (QTEs) have invaded Fallout now? Remember, I have not played the game, so may be talking out my behind :)

Still on the fence with this game...
