Does no one understand what the word "disproportionately" mean? Seems not.

Female, 29. Will be 30 in two months which is extremely weird to think about.

Male (sort-of), 50 (12/30), PS4 'cause I'm way too lazy to actually use the one I have installed on my PC.

So, if all 21 of those who chose the 18-21 bracket were actually under 18, that would be disproportionate to the number who were actually 18 to 21, right? The fact is though that the 18-21 bracket is the smallest bracket until you hit age 60+. So (especially if including all of the under 18s) that would mean the under 21 category comprising all of the youngest advlts and all of the kiddies is proportionately significantly smaller than the single group which comprises all advlts, eh? Meaning far more advlts play FO4 and respond to polls than kids...

Ha! Get back to us in ten years and let us know which is weirder, eh? :)

Given that FO4 players are probably drawn mostly from people who played earlier games in the series and it's been a while since the last release and the first game came out almost twenty years ago, it's not a surprise that its demographics would skew a little older than average.

For some arbitrary reason 30+ has always been a sort of unambiguous "advlt" age to me at which point any and all remaining vestiges of immaturity, dependency, or lack of determination or drive become downright unacceptable and not just unseemly. It's hard to explain.

It feels like a milestone age. I imagine 60-70 or so is probably another one.

This poll won't give you a reliable picture of Fallout players in general since only a fraction of those who bought the game ever visit these boards.

Well, at least we'll know the age parameters of the complainers and b******ers that love to slam the game. Lord knows they're certainly on this forum.

Oh Lord! I laughed so hard! 30+ and "advlt" age! HA! I don't think there is an advlt age. I know 20 year olds that are wise beyond their years and I know 50 or 60 year olds that are just big kids.

It sad that the milestones are 30 & 60 or 70.

To quote my other 1/2 on my birthday a few days ago. "Ya know? You were getting old. Since you just turned 50, now you ARE old! Congratulations. Join AARP."

Why is it sad the milestones are 30 and 60-70? One is about the time most people have really bunkered into a job, buy a house, start having kids, etc. 60-70 is about the time most people retire. Those are both massive transition periods.

Milestone doesn't mean "old." I don't feel old.

I'm just going to have to disagree with you on there being no "advlt" age though. I'm not talking about advlts being children at heart. I'm talking about advlts being childish. There is definitely some point somewhere after age 18 that being childish becomes unacceptable.

Anyway, this is OT.

Those of us in the "over 60" crowd are trying to see how we should behave (and of course check out the latest feral ghoul fashions) when we become feral ghouls... :)

I already know how to behave. I still have an old Hayes modem and when I go feral, I hook it up to my computer and have it dial the telephone numbers of people I don't like. :P
