Out the door on day one pre-order, it's going on Steam for 59.99$ American.
For that first month or two, you're only hope for a lower price is finding it used because someone raged too hard.
It's $70 CAD on Steam, but I don't know what platform you're playing on--probably console if you're buying at EB Games. It's the exchange rate, right now our dollar is worth about $0.75 USD, which means $60 USD = $80 CAD.
Basically you're still getting it at the same price as the u.s. .. exchange rates and what not.
i have the same problem, best way i find to buy game on steam is to paid on Dollars with my credit card
Hmm, let's check.
Ok. 60 USD is...
...79.08 CAD. Huh.
Yep.. money's stupid that way. Money is stupid in most ways.
Most people know nothing about Canada. All I know is that some people there Club Seals, they say 'Sorry' a lot and they have funny colored money with elton John on the back.
And then there are things called Loonies?
yeah, and its a major topic of discussion for our currently ongoing election.
"it's the oil, stupid"
I'm not a jerk, that's just a line from Fury Road .
Seriously though, isn't low oil prices a big part of it?
Until Steam started charging in Canadian dollars earlier this year, I had no idea you console guys were paying so much. Over the past few years I've seen PC game prices creep up from $50 to $60, but since I've been buying just about everything digitally on Steam for years, I'd been paying USD prices.
I got all outraged when I saw $70 CAD games once Steam adopted our currency, but then I checked around and saw that Canadian retail prices had been at that level for a while. I also realized that with the way the dollar had been slipping, I was already paying those prices after currency conversion.
