Show your Fallout pride!!!

My Fallout games before Fallout was "cool". I can't find my boxes, they're boxed up in my attic or garage somewhere. Sorry Chris, you're instruction book is in those boxes too.

My brother used to play fallout when it first first came out. I was like 5 years old and I remember thinking how weird fallout was. I have fond memories of games like that. There are so many games that I remember playing and watching my brother play that I don't even remember anymore.

Fallout is a ridiculously good game and I hope gamesas makes some more awesome fallout games.

Holy crap. That computer is award worthy. Did you make it custom, or did you get someone else to do it for you? Or were you lazy and just ordered it?

love the detail on that case. You really went all out, heck you even have cables hanging out on the side. And I also love the floppy disk drive and how rusted it looks.

Bravo dear boy, Bravo!

In fact, you can turn the computer on and off by crossing the right wires.

Hey guys!

Awesome case btw! Hot-wiring to turn on/off your computer rox. Who needs buttons or switches?

Can't get enough of the post-apocalyptic genre...

How many login attempts do you get before the computer locks you out and you have to kill someone for the code?

The fallout series also inspired my computer setup, but lacking any real skills, I simply bought some old military gear, gutted it, and put my stuff inside:
Image
My case as it was originally. It's an old US Naval direction finder -it weighed over sixty pounds with the massive transformers inside, and the shipping was more than the purchase price.

First view inside...

Better side view of the original components.

Fast forward to test run.

Rear view -I burnt up two Dremels cutting through that case...

...and once it was working, I got lazy and have yet to finish it...

And also:

On the left is an old RF Module the Air Force used to extend their frequency range -it will soon be my external harddrive.
On the right, is the most bad-arse lamp I have ever seen. I found it at a thrift store in Texas. It will remain my desk lamp, as it is simply too awesome to fiddle with.

Unfortunately I left my original CD back at home when I joined the military, but I brought with me my pile of burnt copies. It's very easy to pick out my Fallout 2 disc in the pile, it's the one labeled "Crack"

I've still got my original copies of Fallout, Fallout 2 and Tactics, what I loved about them was the instruction manuals with the warning graphix on the inside about radiation, wildlife, that kinda thing, the wastelands survival guide, it was brilliant !

Also I have a patch disk which was sent to me by gamesas, when i got my hands on fallout 2, for some strange reason it wouldnt start up from the main menu, I didnt have an internet connection back then so I emailed gamesas from my work place, and low and behold they sent me on a patch disk, once i loaded it up I was back in the Fallout universe !

What other computer companies out there would do that for yea, now thats service !

yea i picked up fallout many years ago. i must have been about 13 or 14 so about 15 years ago. i remember picking up the box of fallout 1 and turning it over to see some dude with a flame weapon going to town on some giant scorpions. i thought, hell , this has to be good.

turned out it wasn't the action game i thought it would be. but ended up with me being obsessed with the game. i pre ordered fallout 2, and still have the original disks. unfortunatly the boxes are gone from a move or 2 but i have been tempted to re buy the game in the hope that it would be more compatable with modern day windows.

i remember pre pre ordering fallout tak but although i played it to death the RPG was and still is my fav game of all time with fallout 1 as second and nethack comming in at 3.
