Fallout 3 on PS3 Issues Question

Post » Wed Sep 16, 2009 5:16 am

All these years latter Fallout 3 GOTY on the PS3 still freezes up on me while I am playing anywhere in the game. This happens almost every time I play. Frame rate issues are prominent here and there as well. Does anyone else have these problems still?

What size is your game save file. Over 10MB and all the freezing and lag pop up. About 12MB and higher it becomes unplayable, especially at Adam's Airforce Base, Capital Wasteland, Bailey's Crossroads, Point Lookout, The Pitt, Mothership Zeta, basically anywhere that was added by the DLC. Of course in Vanilla Fallout 3 I always had freezing issues at Tenpenny Tower between levels 10 - 16.

By the way you will never see another patch from Bethesda to fix this. They are dropping all their time into Skyrim and the new Creation Engine. I'm going to sit back and wait until I hear from these forums how the Creation Engine is holding up before I even think about purchasing Skyrim on any console.

Yes, I do still experience issues.

No, they're not going to fix it.

May Gamebryo rot in hell.

Well in that case one can only hope that the Creation Engine has at least ? less major problems then in Gamebryo.

Well, TBH, I remember reading somewhere that someone (I know it doesn't sound(look?) reliable, but it wouldn't surprise me) saw Gamebryo was for sale. Hopefully no one buys it.

Agreed. I'm buying it used regardless.

YEP! Just come back to it myself and feel the same frustration! Just not acceptable in my opinion!

THAT'S IT!! I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSE!!

I've 4, just 4 damned game saves. I clear the cache every time I load. I don't use VATS, Energy Weapons etc anymore, and so on as per the tips list ......................

AND IT'S STILL ****** FREEZING ALL THE TIME!!

I'll be damned if I'll pay for the DLC and play it with my Xbox version, so that's me done with Fallout 3.

A great game RUINED by an indifferent to the customers Gamebryo. To re-iterate what someone said in another post ........ may they rot in hell .......... never gonna get another penny out of me. It's not like there aren't plenty more good games out there.
