Fallout 4:Rise of the Republic of Dave?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 9:27 pm

Anyone else think that this small republic would ever stand a chance of possibly becoming a bigger settlement then rivet city and megaton?
I think it could be a catalyst for the 4th fallout, while allowing access to parts of Maryland, Pennsilvania, and New Jersey, and possibly, NY, CT, and The Commonwealth(MA).

It was a joke. You might as well ask if Mobsters will take over the world based out of New Reno.

If you ask me, Big Town has a bigger chance of taking over the World than that dump...

well lets just say that his older wife wins the next election and then uses her ties to carvans to quickly bring up the populace.

One thing I always wanted, and my friend has wished this too. If only the Republic of Dave was a proper settlement, bigger, with lot's of stores for trading and such.

It would be cool, in my opinion.

That 'family farm' (not to be confused with City, Town, Republic or anything of the sort) has nothing going for them.

There are no water sources there (say like a river), they are not located near any known trading routes, there is little if any vegetation (making farming, and therefore population growth, difficult), no equipment or technology, an insane leader, about 2 guards.... really that place ain't going nowhere soon.

Yeah, I can't stand the place either. It's filled with a bunch of whining teenagers, who used to be a bunch of whining brats from Little Lamplight..

The republic of dave is just some lunatic playing republic, as his own children have even put it. Just rig the election, force him out of town, then kill him. Thats what I did. After all the times he threatened to have me executed, it felt good to mercilessly blast that loon into a nice green goo with my plasma rifle. Consider yourself impeached, Mr. President..... MUHAHAHA!

The mutated sheep of the Falkland Islands have a better chance of becoming an "Empire"....

The Republic of Dave is like giving Idi Amin his own part of the wasteland....enough said...

I imagine the republic, under the control of Dave, will amass to alot of inbreeding >_< Which is why I'm glad I setup his older wife to rule.

It was very satisfying to see Dave storm off, saying he's going to Old Olney, so I decided to follow him, though not a minute after he started walking north from the rebublic, a Deathclaw faded into view. Dave charged it, and the deathclaw took Dave down and tore both his arms off with one leaping swipe, this was especially amusing because of the story behind the Brahmin skull in the museum, which is supposedly a Deathclaw skull from one of daves encounters with the beast. So it was nice to see how that story really went, when Dave met his deathclaw ;)

And the best thing is its a true story. It's so amusingly convenient I'm going to personally pass it off as canon :P

I think they need to go back in time with Fallout, if they keep going forward, pretty soon it's just going to be an
RPG with cities and guns, and no radiation etc..

I'd rather see a fallout like 50 years after the bombs or even earlier than that

I agree with you, Tyana. Even Fallout 2 was a bit too "developed" for my tastes.

I assumed the jump ahead in years from FO1/2 despite the obvious lack of change on the East Coast was to improve Bethesda's chances of not breaking the canon of the older games. Still, surely they can pull off a game around the same time period as Fallout 1 but still leaving the canon intact...right? RIGHT? It'd be sad if they somehow managed to find a way to break the canon of FO1/2 as it occurs simultaneously.
