Fallout NV on sale today on Steam

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 11:25 pm

As the title says:
Fallout is on sale today, from now for another 24 hours.
It's €4,99 (so probably $4,99 too).

And the DLC are also on sale (€11,44 total).
Get it through your Steam client, or here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/22380/

Excellent deal !!. So i purchased the combined Fallout: new Vagas, including Official Prima Strategy Guide.

I'm a bit confused though, As The game itself is only in my Games Library, Where is my guide ?

Can you Help .

Thanks

I'm pretty pissed because I bought it yesterday at 50% off. Now today it's 75% ARGH! Not happy.

Awesome, but kinda sad the game is that cheap after a year of it being out.

Cheers

It's just for the autumn sale on Steam, and the 75% off is just for these 24 hours.

I just bought it and all the DLC's, if I hadn't waited a couple of hours as I did, I would have bought it when it was 50% off. Thought that when the last 24-hour deal was off, maybe New Vegas would get up, and if it wouldn't it'd probably still be 50% off and I'd buy it. And would you look at that, two hours later... :P

Do you have to have Fallout 3 on through Steam to buy it? Or, is it it's own freestanding game? I'd like to buy it, but my Fallout is the physical disk that I didn't get from Steam.

Thanks for any answers, at this price I'd hate to miss it.

Awesome. Just picked up OWB, Lonesome Road, Gun Runner's Arsenal, and Courier's Stash for $6.46. I got DM and HH back during the summer sale.

I'm glad I didn't jump on the 50% off deal yesterday .

It's a stand-alone game. You don't need Fallout 3 at all.

Depending on what interests you.

I would say that the four story DLCs (Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road) are very interesting and worth the money, with each one providing a different experience to the main game. They're also all connected in terms of narrative, so if you get one, you should definitely get them all.

Gun Runner's Arsenal is, IMO, also worth the money. However, it includes nothing but a bunch of new weapons (many of them really cool, like a blue flamethrower or a ballistic fist that plants a timebomb on every enemy it crit kills) and a bunch of new weapon challenges. No new quests or story. Just guns. And ammo. Most of it really awesome.

Courier's Stash is the only one I didn't buy, since it's basically just the four preorder packs bundled together. (Classic pack/Tribal pack/Caravan pack/Merc pack.)

Overall, I think that all of the NV DLC is assuredly worth the price they want. I bought it all at full price and I feel I've gotten my money's worth.

Yes, this is what I wanted to know. Im a old fan of Oblivion and I really loved that game but the dlc was not so well connected and I allways thought Oblivion was better without dlc.

damn for like fifteen bucks (hope my math is right) you get the complete experience...thats way better than the 100 dollars i've paid on it. Any way at the price of the dlc i would get them all, they tell the overarching plot of the other courier, adding plenty to the game, but if i had to pick i would say get owb, probably the best out of all four

Any educated guesses on when the GOTY/complete version will be released? How many more DLCs do they plan on making?

Nice, I think I'll get all the remaining DLC now. What levels are OWB, HH and LR for?

Each of the four story DLCs also increase the level cap by 5 and some introduce new achievements and perks.

No more DLCs planned, but there's no educated guess needed for the release date, it has already been announced:

Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition will be available in retail stores across North America on February 7th 2012 and throughout Europe on February 10th.
