My saves have magically vanished once again...

So does anyone know of a save game editor that will allow me to have done certain objectives (collect g.e.c.k from vault 13 from gurthar)?

I'm starting to lose it with fallout 2 first my saves get lost i restore my computer and get them back then i can't copy/find them now they have went missing once again and restoring my pc didn't get them back this time (and i have gave up looking for them once again).

You probably have the game installed in the stock directory. Remember, this is a DOS game, from back when we had control over our PCs. Not like today when we mere users try to run something that will modify the precious program files directory so it slaps our hand. If you have a chance to, install it in something like C:\Games\Black Isle\Fallout 2 and then the UAC won't get persnickety and trash your save files.

Anyway, this thread has some hints on how to recover lost save files, and a program that might find them for you if you can't
