Fallout 4 screen resolution change help

Post » Sat Dec 05, 2015 11:09 am

good afternoon, I need some help with the UI on my Fallout4. I am running a 29" ultrawide screen with 2560x1080 res and Fallout4 wasnt supporting it so I got a mod called "Fallout 4 Tweaker v1.1.2.21565 by Bilago" and i changed my res to fit my screen but now my UI is still stuck on the old mode while the screen is stretched so it doesnt fit well and I am not sure what to look up or what setting to change to try and have that issue fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I cant seem to find a good way to load any pictures to show my issue but let me give you and example, when aiming down the sniper scope the crosshairs are a bit squeezed in horizontally and the blackout of the sniper scope ends about 3 inches on both sides of the screen and i can see whatever it is i am looking at on those side. inside that everything is blacked out like on a normal scope. on the menues, normally the options have the green background behind them, but in my case the green only covers the right half of the options.

You can probably change the resolution through the ini files. The sniper scope is an issue with the scope flash overlay, was built for a certain size screen.

I managed to change the resolution with the mod program that I got through nexus mod manager and now it fits my screen well, but the UI is still working as in for the old settings so it doesnt fit properly.

I believe the file to fix the scope issue is ScopeMenu.swf if someone has a flash editor.

its not just the scope issue. As another example, when you tuen on your flashlight through pip boy, the little flashlight icon is a green square behind it as background, mine is approx 2-3 inches to the left of the flashlight icon. its slightly irritating haha

ick, my guess is that a lot of those interface files would have to be edited.

It's funny cuz just the other day I was looking into the ultrawide screens. I was kinda disappointed at the limited selection though, all the aspect ratios I could find were 21:9... there were zero 21:10's :(
