I spent money on this app as well. Now since the last update it will not open at all. I tried everything. Very dissatisfied with Bethesda.

I have same problem, on iPad it's crashing all of the time. Makes me wonder just how buggy and crash prone Fallout 4 will if they can't even get an app to run right.

This problem is also occurring for me on my iPad Air 2. The problem started on iOS 8.4 and persists on 8.4.1 despite only playing the game for one day (and I even spent money on lunchboxes to get a quick start on it). A single mid-game crash turned into crashing on the load screen. I can't even get to the vault selection screen, and my vault was only 27 people. The spinning radiation loading symbol comes up and almost immediately the game crashes. No amount of fiddling with background apps or pressing the home button or updating iOS fixes anything. Please don't reply with the patch update info, this was a fresh install of your latest version - I installed it yesterday for the first time.

I will not be deleting data and reinstalling the game and starting a new vault until this frustrating problem is resolved. I don't want to lose any more money or time to a crash that will prevent me from even viewing the game.

Also by looking at the forums I see this is a problem across platforms on Android, too. I understand it takes time to resolve anything, but it would really be helpful if you personally addressed these concerns and reassured us that your dev team will be looking into resolving it. A little personal touch goes a long way!

Hope everyone here has a great day!

Thank you RoseWolf for this growing support against this frustrating glitch and the even more frustrating "glitch" of the Bethesda team not responding to the thousands of us.

Could we not get something like this - "Hey dear valued and loyal Fallout customers, our dev team is currently working hard to resolve this widespread issue of crashing at the loading screen and hope to have this issue resolved upon the next patch."

Let me tell you if we received just this response, I personally would be completely satisfied and be right back to FS as well as ready to spend plenty more on this game again! SO please Bethesda, please respond with some assurance that this is not the "cash grab" phone app that you had promised it would not be. Show us you care enough to respond and let us know that you are going to fix a bug which robs people of their time and money. We want to support your business and the hard working devs you employ, but earn it by 1 response to your dedicated fans! Thank you.

Just popping in to say again I'm still getting the crash when I try to open the app. iPhone 5, not a lot of games or apps running. If anyone at gamesas needs any info I can provide, let me know, I'd be happy to help get this bug resolved so I can get into my and my daughter's vault.

How do you go about doing that?

EDIT: If I have to start all over, I at least want my money back...

Go into your itunes account and hit the "report a problem" in your past purchase history section. They will respond within 48 hours.

I, too, have been locked out of my vault for multiple days now due to crashing - specifically, it crashes after I've selected a vault and the vault itself is loading. I have been completely unable to load my vault, with it crashing 100% of the time. This didn't start happening until after the most recent patch came through, though it didn't happen immediately after the patch came out, strangely enough.

I'm running it on an iPad 4 (version 8.4.1).

Bethesda was to concerned with ushering in the Deathclaws, molerats and Mr. Handy's that they didn't notice the huge bugs they were caring with them. For all of our sake's I hope Bethesda takes their customer fan base serious and fixes this. If this is not fixed, FS will be a bitter memory to me and pray that the same does not happen to FO4.

Got the exact same message sent to me twice from Bethesda so I contacted Apple and got a refund. This is definitely putting a damper on my excitement for Fallout 4 even if it's bug free and fun.

Agreed. Fallout Shelter was supposed to usher in FO4 with a high energy of excitement and enthusiasm for veterans and amateurs alike. Fallout Shelter thus far has failed at that but provided plenty of $$$ for Bethesda. I'm fine with this fact as long as Bethesda shows honesty and integrity by patching this. Oh, and a response would be nice too.

No, but seriously, a response from someone other than the Community Lead (no offense to the Community Lead - he's being as helpful as he can - but hearing from a dev might be nice) would be good. Especially since the ticket system directs us to the forum.

Got a refund from Apple but this is ridiculous. I love, LOVE, all things Fallout. But users who pay $$$ for app add-ons such as lunchboxes deserve better IMHO.

Finally got an email from someone who wasn't just copying and pasting the same response repeatedly. It didn't do any good and I don't know how accurate his information was but at least it was nice to feel like I was talking to a person. He said that he didn't have any information on any future patches and that all he could suggest was basically restarting everything. Still mostly not impressed with the company on a whole.

I'm having to deal with same constant crashing every time I try to log in the game. This has been accruing for weeks now! This is so frustrating having paid for Mr. handy and Lunch boxes. I don't want have restart and lose what I've paid for. Anyone know how to fix this please?

Been playing forever but now I'm crashing too.

I've been playing FOS since close to the beginning. 200 dwellers, most lvl 50, more than 1/2 maxed SPECIAL. Other than the odd lag issue I had never had problems playing. 3 days ago I had been playing in the morning (doing my morning housekeeping) when the game crashed. Now I have the same issue as everyone else on this thread - click on app, get load screen for 2-3 seconds, then crash to home screen.

I have tried soft and hard restart, updating iOS (running 9.0.1 as of this morning), even the "fix" someone else mentioned of tapping home screen during start up.

iPhone 6, iOS 9.0.1, 92.2 Gb available

Hard to believe that 10 weeks after this bug was reported there is still no response from Bethesda...

Just another voice to the same issue. My master vault that had been running fine for months will now no longer open. It's been about two weeks now.

Same issue. Game will not let me open my fault. I've spent a lot of time, effort, and money into this vault and now it will not open. Please do something about this, Bethesda.
