Fallout Shelter and Pip-Boy app for Window 10 devices?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 1:53 am

Both apps look really cool! But will they be available on Windows 10 devices, seems a very versatile platform as you can develop on desktop, tablet and phone in one. The Apple link makes me worried and doubtful.

I didn't hear Android. I just heard iOS.

I keep hearing its iOS exclusive, but I really hope you're right. :D

"Apple PC." It's called a Mac.

I'll probably just use my iPhone or my friend's iPad.

They said the Pip-Boy app is iOS and Android. They said they worked with Apple, and it's on the App Store for Fallout Shelter. No mention of Android at all.

They didn't mention Android when they talked about TES Legends either. I'm puzzled.

Yeah its confirmed to be iOS exclusive, for now at least. Disappointing.

Guess I'll be borrowing someone's iPad.

Such a disappointment even if it is a timed exclusive. It is a slap in the face to many fans who are not fans or customers of apple.

I hope they at least paid you really well.

Ugh, I think I may have been wrong. I know TH said the pipboy will be on Android and i might conflated that with what he said about Shelter.

Don't worry. I think alot of people made that mistake.

Quite a few sites were reporting 'Android and iOS' before they redacted their statements.

Bethesda keeps punching me in the face. No Android for Fallout Shelter.

From the man himself:

May need to give iTunes a little time for it to update. It'll be up there. We will have info later about Android version.
Pete Hines 鈥廆DCDeacon 9 minutes ago
@Josh_Hamrick no. I did not say soon. I said we will have info later

So... "later". Not sure if that's a "there were last minute bugs and it'll take a few days" later or a "holy crap ignoring the phone OS with 78% market share was a bad idea, quick, make an android version" later.

So not soon. That is not too vague.

2 days? Weeks? Months?

As I said I hope Apple paid you guys well to string along so many fans with statements like "I did not say soon."

Sounds like fun games to have on the phone, so Android I guess, I should get a new phone, but I'll probably end up with an android phone, so yeah.

It'd be mildly hilarious if the 'info' about an Android version was confirmation that there is, indeed, no Android version. :ahhh:

These guys were quiet for 7 years about the game they were working on, i don't think giving out information is bethesda's thing.

I really hope they release it soon for android though, if it comes out around or after fallout 4 i'll probably forget about it.

Neat little thing that lets your phone or tablet actually function as your pip-boy display, connects via wifi to the game no matter if on PC or console. The main gimmick being if you get the limited edition version with the plastic pip-boy, your phone (depending on type, better not be iphone only) can fit in it and be the screen. But you can still get and run the app if you don't get that version, or so the presentation said. Likely will come out with the game since it needs the game to work.
