Fallout Shelter not loading

Post » Sat Feb 13, 2016 7:24 pm

Hello,

Recently fallout shelter has not been loading for me. It will go to the Bethesda studios logo in the beginning of the loading screen and then will go to my home page. I don't get a "force quit or report " option when I get returned to my home page. My phone is an htc one m8.

This started on August 29th

I love the game so far, if you could somehow help me that'd be great

Thanks,

Connor

  1. On your device, open your file explorer app and navigate "Android/data/com.gamesas.falloutshelter/files/".

  2. Search for a file named "Vault1.sav" or something similar. If you have multiple vaults, then there may be multiple .sav files.

  3. Copy one or all .sav files to a different directory for backup (for example, you can copy them to your "Download" folder, just make sure it is stored somewhere safe).

  4. Uninstall Fallout Shelter from your device.

  5. Reinstall it.

  6. After it has installed, go back to your file explorer app and copy the .sav files you temporarily placed in your "Download" folder (or any other folder you placed them in) back to "Android/data/com.gamesas.falloutshelter/files/".

  7. Launch your game. Enjoy playing your vault again.

On a side note: if your .sav files have a size of 0KB, then I'm afraid I can't help you and I suggest you don't do the above steps until Bethesda has made a patch.

Nope didn't work for me. When i searched my files for my save, it said that there are 0b and there was a little pop up that said "did not find a matching file type viewer."

Thanks though, ill just hope for a patch for this problem

Ah this must be what happened to my beloved vault, I don't have a file viewer that shows the amount of data, but sav 3 has much less data than 1 and 2 despite having been a much larger vault, I believe now that many of the crashes relate to this issue
