Fallout 4 sound and sound settings issue

Post » Tue Mar 15, 2016 7:16 pm

I wanted to get back to playing fallout and ran into a problem. The sound for the Bethesda logo plays just fine but once at the main menu all game audio is silenced. When I press the home button on the Xbox I can still hear when I move through the dashboard but no audio is on in the game. Also, when I go to settings, the audio option is grayed out with a loading icon next to it as if the audio settings are loading. Not sure why this happening and I hope it can get fixed soon but I did notice that the Add-Ons option is available now making me think this issue might have to do with the update maybe.

Hey there. Have you tried doing a hard reset of your console? Try holding the power button for about 5 seconds (so it powers off completely, not just in sleep mode). You'll know it worked if you see the Xbox logo/green background when you turn on. Then try to reopen the game. Let us know if that helped.
