Fallout 1/2 soundtrack inclusion

Post » Sat May 29, 2010 3:53 am

So I noticed, as it was said Pre-Release, that F1 and 2 soundtracks would be added. But I also noticed they left out some gems like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rl9CkeVNcRM one. Is there an ambient song you were sad didn't get included?

I wish they utilized all of them. They're all in the game files, so why not? There isn't any one in particular that I missed.

Would have been nice to have the intro songs in New Vegas. At least some of the ambient music was brought back :fallout:

I always hear the Redding theme at the Crashed Highwayman. However, I think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eB_Safe9QAs&feature=related would be better for the Crashed Highwayman.

I do wish the Fallout 1 location music could be played at their similar New Vegas locations, like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0yTxs8GfoQ&feature=related in Hidden Valley, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6suxMoU7_M&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL in Red Rock Canyon, and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAAeR7bUHQs&feature=related at Old Mormon Fort.

Alot of people have mad e abig fuss over the original soundtracks making it into New Vegas but, They are I Fallout 3 aswell. Some sound liek they've been mixed inquietly and built on aswell. I'm talking about ambient music.
Anyone else noticed the main theme to Fallout 3 has the same chords as the Halloween theme? Try singing the Halloween melody over the top, I know it's in a different time signature but I can't help but think of Halloween everytime I hear it...

Not all of us play on PC :cryvaultboy:

@Spunky- I don't recall F1/2 songs being in F3. I'm fairly sure Fallout 3 is all originally composed OST. As to the Halloween thing, you can say song X sounds like theme to Y, it's common to hear similiar chords in things.

Inon Zur must've missed it or something like that. The music was fine in New Vegas I can't really complain about it. Although more songs from FO1 and FO2 isn't a bad thing unless the songs themselves are terrible.

I'm pretty sure they've blended some of the old games ambient music into Fallout 3's. I'd have to double check to be sure but, if it's not it's near identical. And I know similar chords get used in lots of music and themes, I wasn't saying it's abnormal I was just asking if anyone else had noticed. The chords weren't similar either, they were the same.
No big deal, Just wanted to know if it made anyone else think of Halloween too.

I noticed that Novac uses a soundtrack from F3-I just don't know if it's original to F3

Well, I like whenever Fallout 3's ambient music plays. It's much more serene and world complementing IMO.
