Fallout 4 Speculation, Ideas and Suggestions # 261

Post » Wed Jun 03, 2015 9:10 pm

Finally ! The new Fallout ! Can't wait to play it ... I don't care about minor graphical disadvantages or other details you people noticed ... Is the new Forum being opened soon?

Customization is the main thing about Elder Scrolls and Fallout series ...

Agreed. Hopefully it's just a few individuals, and they were just showing off their new suit designs. I've gotta admit, the power armor in this game looks 100x better than in 3. Like in the old games, I can believe that this stuff made ranks obsolete.

The Commonwealth is a reference to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or more likely the New England Commonwealth of the USSA. Either way, it is made up of a tad bit more than just Boston.

Pinkerton's "Most of it is blasted nothing..." and Zimmer's "war ravaged quagmire of violence and dispair" comments encompass the Commonwealth (either state or USSA commonwealth) as a whole. Neither precludes a thriving (if somewhat ramshackle) city/town.

No.

When you create a book, a video, a song, etc, you place EVERYTHING there with purpose.

Those clips sadly suggest the "leak" no one believed about the protagonist being frozen pre-war was likely legit....

You referring to how bulky it is in the pre-war scene? I liked that touch.

You're definitely right. But I don't recall seeing the face of any promotional character in 3 or NV, just power armour and ranger outfit.

I personally think that's the case. This trailer seemed like it was simply showing a contrast between the pre-war and post-war world.

Not that the cryostasis rumor flying around is impossible. I just don't see anything in this particular trailer that suggests this idea.

Definitely agree. Technical limitations meant that power armor had to be downsized in Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but it looks like that won't be an issue with Fallout 4. Really hoping they do power armor justice this time around, not only in appearance, but also in effectiveness. It was a bit of a joke in Fallout 3.

Yes sir, I am. Love this look. And maybe it's just an illusion from the shot, but they look taller than the people in front of them as well.

Special book on the floor at 1:05. Character creation confirmed. We can all take a sigh of relief.

Jumping to conclusions a bit too early are we? This is like watching the first Skyrim trailer and saying main char is voiced because he said "fus ro dah"

Just throwing this out there but if you watch the trailer at 1:43 you see two people in power armor. Now this could just be two random people or do you think it could be a sign that we will have some sort of multiplayer ? I wouldn't mind wondering the wasteland with a friend.

Near the end in the garage, there was a stand in the background with a Vault-Tec banner on top. It looked like it was full of pipboy images. Maybe a new collection in Fallout 4 is Vault-Tec collectible stickers?

Looking at the image at http://fallout4.com, I spy a rather interesting looking rifle to the left.

It also gives a pretty clear look at the new design for T-45d Power Armor and some of its internal components.

This is so awesome, the count-down was the best thing ever, lol. Looks like Boston, which is pretty sweet.

A lot of people getting their panties in a twist over this trailer, though, don't know why that is. First of all, this is just a teaser for the actual announcement, nothing more. I'ts made like any other Fallout intro, sticking with a solid intro that has charmed and excited people for years instead of spinning up something new that ends up being non-canon and lame.

Second of all, this is not actual gameplay footage, so no reason to complain about the graphics yet. This is 100% certain NOT how the game is going to look. Furthermore, does anyone remember the recent hype about Witcher 3 and people being SOOOO disappointed that the actual game didn't look as good as the pre-release gameplay? Yes, that's why it's a good idea to not get people's expectations too high and then surprise with a game that looks better than anticipated. Let's see if there's some actual gameplay footage at E3 before we start graphicshaming. Also, the final game is years out, probably, so changes WILL happen along the way, good and/or bad.

Thanks for the teaser, Beth!

I'd be fine with using the Pip boy 3000 again as an interface, but they need to streamline it a little. Having to hit tab and cycle through everything to what you want was a pain. Should really have hotkeys to the different menus.

So hyped at this trailer, looks great! I'd all but given up hope for a new Fallout and still can't believe its actually been announced. Will be interesting to see what angle they approach the storyline from. Roll on E3!

Its good to be back.

So I noticed on their facebook post, they have the date written as 6.14. Seeing as how the Fallout 3's characters birthday was related to a bible quote (not the Alpha and Omega one), I decided to lookup what revelations 6:14 was.

"The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place."

Okay, so that wasn't useful or interesting at all. I'm going to stop reading into things now :P
