Chris Avellone is apparently excited

Anyone know if Tim Cain has twitter, and what it is? All I get via a google search are random people with the same name.

I'm telling you, Pipboy Color. The pun would be great.

Regardless, they definitely won't reuse the exact same UI that Fallout 3 and New Vegas had, although I'm glad they're keeping the Pipboy concept.

Haha ... from a Gamespot http://www.gamespot.com/articles/fallout-4-officially-confirmed-for-pc-xbox-one-ps4/1100-6427776/:

A narrator, which has been https://twitter.com/perlmutations/status/606103480504180737, then says "war never changes," a line fans of http://www.gamespot.com/fallout-3/ will remember. As expected, the series' iconic Vault Hunters also return.

Iconic Vault Hunters? Maybe they have their games confused? :)

It's fun looking at the various gaming sites quick takes on this.

I love when the ui is integrated into the setting. I plan on playing using a controller but a few shortcut keys would be nice for the keyboard option

Didn't the function keys act as shortcuts for the stats/items/data tabs in Fallout 3? I'd have to fire it up to check, but I know they were shortcuts.

Count me in the minority of people on this forum who were blown away by it.

I loved the pre-war shifts and the reprisal of the boy and his dog. Boston looks far more developed than the Capital Wasteland, and the horrible green tint is gone.

I'm thrilled to see what we're going to get in our next glimpse.

I'm hyped but cautious, E3 is so far away, it needs to get here now. :ahhh:

Nope you're right. Played hundreds of hours not knowing this :(

I think it may be because I look for control schemes to see what I can re-map and didn't find anything about that stuff. Oh well.

Unlike previous play throughs of FO 3 and NV, I plan to scour every inch of the setting on the first play through. Seeing the bobblehead and skill books in the garage excites me.

I still wonder if the red tail on the Vertibird indicates BoS Outcasts as a major faction this time instead of a minor faction. The Memory Den reminds me of the memory service from Total Recall. A way to "vacation" without actually traveling anywhere.

Shopping list for me:

New Xbox One

Comfy new recliner

New 55" TV

Special Edition Fallout 4

Stock up on Coke

Stock up on Cheetos Puffs

and move my mini fridge to my basemant next to the new recliner

Lastly, kiss my wife before I disappear into the Wastes...

I'm super pumped too. Got goosebumps watching this trailer. Didn't even expect to get that much when the countdown finished!

Released Witcher 3, however downgraded it is, still looks 100x better than this 2008 garbage. And it is ingame footage. There is no way that that's CGI, if it was it'd look FAR better.

I'd rather the Brotherhood not be involved at all, but if the Outcast are a faction, that alone I already like better than Lyon's Brotherhood on the east. Leaves less of an opportunity for them to be forced upon us as the good guys and more of an opportunity to play the role of perhaps an antagonist. But even still, this faction is beaten to death.

There's a GNR advert so I imagine 3 dawg will make a return.

I forgot that the BoS have airships so that should be interesting.

GNR was in Fallout 1.

Its just a radio network that existed coast to coast in the Fallout world.

The thing about the BoS, I think with Lyons, and with the NV chapter, is showing that they are becoming a malleable faction.
They cannot keep going as they were and survive. This to me means that if there is BoS in this game, it won't necessarily be aligned to any iteration we have seen, previously.

So pumped. I don't give a flying [censored] about how the graphics look. I love the color pallet, I'm happy things don't look super realistic (I fall into the uncanny valley really easily), and the setting looks dense and interesting to check-out.

I doubt the protag is voiced and it's just a trailer thing.

I also doubt the brotherhood are involved (power armor was used by the army afterall, and the Institute was an important center of research...likely had an army pesence near the end to keep it safe? But then, they also built androids and blimps, so whats to stop them from building power armor? Unless they used the armor as an exoskeleton for military androids)

Im just excited in general.

The Mojave branch suggested the opposite, if anything. Even their more progressive leader was unwilling to change.

There were no BoS logos in the trailer. Hopefully these power armored fellas scavenged the suits, and belong to an entirely new faction. Hopefully they represent more elite members of it.
