Fallout 4 Speculation, Ideas and Suggestions # 261

This thread is so that we can keep all the discussion, rumors and speculation in one place.
This topic is for a friendly discussion of ideas and suggestions for Fallout 4.

We all have opinions about what the next game should have and should not have. Each of us may express that opinion freely. There are points we agree on and points we do not agree on. This means that people are going to disagree with you on some things. Accept that and move on. No need to beat your point so far into the ground that no one wants to look at it any more.

At moderator discretion, threads about specific and distinct topics as they relate to FO4 and the rest of the Fallout series may be acceptable in the Fallout Series forum. General idea/suggestion topics for a future Fallout game will either be closed, or moved to this one.
This thread should be used to discuss items you'd like to see in a future game, gameplay tweaks, quest ideas, things you hope are not in the next game and so on. If you want to discuss major issues, use a separate topic - such as the discussion about adding multi-player or co-op play, which already has a thread. Please search first to see if there is an active/recent thread on a particular topic.

Something to note. Discussions of Child Killing is not allowed on these boards. Don't even bring it up in this thread. It won't happen in any future game from Bethesda, so there is no reason to even discuss it. If you post about this subject, you may be Warned and or Banned from the boards for doing so.

This is also not a thread to discuss current or past Fallout Games, other than to mention an aspect of the game you want to see included, or not included, in a future Fallout game.

Of course something will be removed, that almost always happens, but I REALLY doubt that will be the thing people value Bethesda so highly for, which is choice.

Anyone else notice the red tail on the Vertibird? Could that be BoS Outcasts? 1:48-1:49 in video.

As I said in the last thread.

It looks like buildings are being sold/leased in Boston, suggesting a far more developed civilization compared to the C.W.

I was quite surprised to see the curtains in the window flowing in the breeze. I know, it's small, but I really liked that touch.

The fact that there was no hairworks, tressfx, tessellation or etc on the dog kind of told me that I was being set up for disappointment with the visual quality of the game.

I hope that Obsidian has a big hand in helping with the writing and quests though.

I'm disappointed Fallout 4 isn't coming out to PS3, but not surprised. I am still excited as a fan boy of the series to see it getting released and am looking forward to its release to learn what it's about.

It's just I'm hoping Bethesda Game Studios does not remove a important feature that makes The Elder Scrolls video games, Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas enjoyable to play.

Imagine Fallout 4 not having armor and weapons degradation I would not like that at all. I want my guns to overheat and jam as well. Especially after a nuclear war guns shouldn't be in 100% working condition like they came right out of a factories assembly lines.

I also noticed in one of the screenshots near the end of the video that there are skill lbooks and a bobblehead in the garage.

I am starting to think the protagonist is the baby in the crib because if you watch when people are running there is a boy with a red cap and stripped shirt running in front on the camera then again when running up the hill. Plus, if you look more you can see a lot of details look more "recent", so I am thinking that the prologue takes place in your childhood before the bombs and you leave the vault not too long after as a young advlt.

No Special and auto heath regen would be a dealbreaker for me unfortunately. I hope that doesn't happen. The wait for E3 is going to be painful, very painful :shocking:

Edited- That would make sense if that was the prologue, telling the childhood, just like fallout 3.

What if back in 2014 at Gamescom when Todd Howard said that he likes that the new generation of consoles and PC's have so much power because of a lot more RAM and that you can hear NPC's talk from inside buildings. What if Fallout 4 will have a massive population in the main cities and you yourself and NPC's actually go rent buildings to live in or purchase properties for themselves.

This is a feature that would actually make Fallout 4 feel like a real living breathing world.

If they made the Character Customization like that of ESO (example: shoulders, bust size, stomach, etc) then I will die happy....then load back my saved self so I can play.

Why would they, though? I mean Obsidian.

That was seriously unimpressive trailer. I didn't expect anything really special, but this went even under my bar (and believe when I say that was pretty low). Bethesda has been making solid trailers before. What went wrong this time? It looks and sounds cheap and plastic montage of a c-grade action flick... SharkFalloutnado. Not to mention how recycled everything looks... I think I even spotted another superduper mart scene. I dunno.

The trailer is [censored]. That doesn't say anything specific about the game though, so now's just waiting for E3 to see/hear what the gameplay and storyline bring forth. Not hoping for much but you never know....

The baby in the crib is also what is giving me a scare of there being no fully customizable Player Character (PC) in Fallout 4. Unless Bethesda Game Studios I don't know..... Come up with a way to make it make sense.

Am I the only way who seems disappointed with the trailer? I mean, I'll have to wait and see what it brings us, but so far it hasn't lived up to my hype expectations.

I hope it does not take a decade to get through the tutorial like Fallout 3 vault 101.
