Fallout 4 Speculation Suggestions and Ideas #139a

that is really a great idea, maybe the arena fights could be more challenging though, they were moderately challenging in The Pitt but just plain easy in NV

Even the Pipe-rifle.

**The Pipe rifle could get some interesting variations... to include making it a kind of improvised launcher for certain projectiles ~that would not be possible or as easy (or preferable) using commercial/military firearms.

I'd like to see a Grappling hook mod for FO4 ~if not an official feature.... I mean fans hacked that into Quake.

As a note to reiterate the updated OP, for those who have been following these threads for awhile now (and because we all know most people don't read the OP in these threads.) We have been burning through the Suggestions threads at a fairly high rate lately, and we've also been noticing that a lot of times the back-and-forth debate of one particular item or another has served to derail the purpose of this thread.

Going forward, we'd like to keep this thread more constructive-oriented with less of a focus on picking apart and debating specific suggestions to death. There are a lot of new members coming into these discussions and we'd like to not be chasing them away or made to feel unwelcome by having each of their ideas shot down. There's going to be differences of opinion, so if you don't like something that's been suggested in this thread, we'd rather see you suggest an alternative (ie, constructive criticism) or simply accept a difference of opinion and move on.

That said, this forum wouldn't be much fun without spirited conversation. If a particular topic interests you, we would ask that you create a topic in the Fallout Universe forum for the time being.

What's starting to become tricky is that we're still talking about a hypothetical game. Bethesda still has not announced any of their plans for a Fallout 4 game - especially not in any official capacity. Despite what some internet "news" sites may claim, this thread is not a sign of any upcoming information or reveal of any future Bethesda games (most of our older members are likely already aware of this.) We've been having these forever now, and it's more of a way to keep conversations organized than anything. It's easier to keep track of one topic to discuss things for the next game than if we allowed everyone with an idea their own thread.

If/when Bethesda does decide to announce a new Fallout game (and I'm also hoping/guessing that the "mystery" game they're working on is Fallout 4, as well,) then it will get it's own sub-forum and we'll be able to open up these discussions a lot more.

Until then, do try and stay constructive here and let's try to not drag things off into a long debate that's not going to get anywhere. As always, if you have any questions feel free to ask a moderator and we'll be glad to help.

The battles in the thorn were really lame, I thought. So are the gladiator fights at the legion fort.. but i enjoyed them anyway.

I think if there does happen to be arena esq fighting and gambling on the figting it should be at a seperate area from the two main factions, kinda like secluded like how Paradice falls is in Fo3 or underground like the thorn is in New Vegas which the thron was cool and shows Fallouts developers willingness/attraction to the idea. As well as Pliks safarie in Point Lookout.

Maybe lame but I see them as a precursor to larger more elaborate fights. I think developers may have used the Legion Arena and the thorn as testing grounds to see if gamers liked them or not. Just a thought tho.

In arenas I would really like to be able to take on opponents with better weapons assigned to them then I and be able to choose multiple people to fight against 1v1 is really easy.

Some weapons I would like to see and others as well in the next Fallout game! and since F3 and FNV don't ever use real life names for the weapons these are my best name choices for these weapon types: a small list of some ideas...

AKS-74U: "Chinese assault Carbine"

HK416 : "Tactical Carbine"

M200 : "Precision sniper rifle"

N99A1 : An improved 10mm pistol with picanity rails for attachments and improved iron sights

9mm police auto: a 9mm glock 19 with a standard tactical light just for those times when you feel your pipboy light just isn't enough

38. pistol : a s&w 38 spc. snub nose or possibly a colt double action 38.?

PPSH: "Chinese sub machine gun"

Uzi : " machine pistol"

10mm SMG: " but with a standard grip, and bunch of attachments; stock, combat optics, exc.

M60: "light machine gun" or medium machine gun" a Vietnam era m60 for that retro feel

Browning 30.cal machine gun : ww11 era heavy machinegun

hmmm...RPG,MP5,modern day minigun, pulse rifle, tesla caster!? so many ideas!
