Fallout 4 Speculation Suggestions and Ideas #154

Exactly.

Then you also need to ask, how they make the skin, eyes, hair, everything, OR

Do they take humans, kill em, remove organs and replace with computer bits.

That is some pretty good technology advance from robobrains and securitrons and mister gutsy to poof. Bob the Android, looks totally human.

Yes... billions. :touched:

This is a common misconception. We're still evolving. I know for a fact. I don't have the genetics to digest lactose. I am lactose intolerant and get sick when consumed. The genes for this have spread out from Europe and are quickly spreading across the globe. This is a very recent adaptation.

Evolution is not something that can be directed. It just is. A natural force and order to the way things work. Only the most adaptable species or specimens survive to pass on their genes. I will agree most of our evolution is done through technology these days.

I never argued for a god. At all. I simply said a superior intelligence to ours. It could be future us, robots, aliens, or any other strange thing.

If you feel like continuing this I suggest sending me a PM. I don't want to get the topic in any more trouble.

I know I'm just applauding myself for the effort. :P

On the topic: Whether you like it or not, if the next game features android, then headaching existentialism stuff will be featured in the game. And upon that, there will be pages upon pages of lore on the subject on android.

It would be a nice change from all the "War never changes" and "people are dikes" stuff, and the seemingly eternal struggle of Brotherhood vs Enclave vs Mutants. This could really bring the series into a golden age as it enriches the lore.

A lot of risks here if they decide to go that way. I read some rumors about Cthulhu and Lovecraftian stuff in the game as well. They might ended killing the mysteries of the game (like how the Phantom Menace destroyed the mystery of the Force with that midichloria BS) and propel the lore into full-blown Elder Scrolls.

With Fallout 4 approaching soon, here are a few general things I hope to see:

-Less leveled content. I vastly prefer the feeling of getting slowly stronger as my character becomes capable of killing bigger things, and more easily dispatching smaller foes. Heavily leveled content ruins the feeling of progression.
-More well written quests and characters.
-A significantly larger map. While I'd like settlements to have larger, more realistic populations it still needs to feel like a wasteland. In New Vegas I never felt far from safety. In Fallout 3 there were large patches without a safe haven, and I hope Fallout 4 takes that even farther.
-Scarcity and survival should be emphasized. Ammunition should be something you pay attention to, so should stimpaks.
-Most importantly, I want each settlement in the wasteland to have a purpose and make sense. MrBTongue made an excellent video on this topic ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvwlt4FqmS0 ) that makes a complaint I've had for years in a very amusing way. The portion regarding settlements and the importance of attention to detail is about ten minutes in.

True, I'm not eager for another bout of BoS vs Enclave.

On the bright side, if we do have androids, I have the names of three characters lined up:

Sy Berg

Barry

Other Barry

I'm not opposed to existentialism in video games or anything like that. I'm just not eager to explore the Commonwealth, and would prefer somewhere different.

Are you kidding? The Fallout series is about science gone wrong! :P And it's related because apparently the dominant rumors on FO4 is about android. Which has to do with artificial conciousness. And it gets more complicated from there.

But by all means, ANYTHING to put the BOS out of my mind for the next couple of years. :yuck: I mean, I don't have anything against them, but they're just painfully narrow minded. It's a miracle they haven't been destroyed by some random bandit chick who seduced a pure Paladin into letting her in and put one in the sack and turn their bunkers into craters.

So are people still beating their brains out over this new rumor, whether or not it's real and all that?

No conclusion yet?

It's died down a bit, this thread is going slower than the last 2.

Arizona, Oregon/Washington, and Montana are the places I'm most interested in exploring, but that's more West Coast than East Coast.

And not all of the places have looked the same. Point Lookout was very different than the Capital Wasteland, and Zion was very different than New Vegas.

So well over two threads about this rumor..

Plus there's that VGA thread.

All this fuss over a possible rumor. Just wait till we actually get something official. Can't get a word in edge wise? just wait lol.

True. But with the lack of official news about Fallout in a long time, people get excited at rumors because thats the only thing we got.

And they shouldn't IMO.

It's good that people are talking about Fallout and more people are interested, but it bugs me that people are beating their brains out over a rumor. For me nothing is real until Bethesda says otherwise, sure keep an eye on the rumor, it has a count down so we will know.

It's like all the people saying "The World will end in a month." Should we all crap our pants everything someone says that?

Well, pretty sure the twitter and tumblr were proven as bogus.

The website, I am leaning towards legit. Have Beth getting copyright on FO4 on the 14th of November. All the new FO swag in the store. The tweets from 3 Dog, and the "no comment" from Beth.

So, I think website legit, the other stuff bunk.

It's fun to howl at the moon as a collective pack and crap our pants once in a while. It's good for community health. :)

The tweets from 3 Dog HAS to be legit. And according to a recent development (if you would kindly check the other thread) proves that the twitter and the website is connected. So that means either both are fake, or both are real. I'm leaning toward the fake, because Beth would not simply throw a picture of FO4 logo on the twitter.

*SIGH* or it might be an elaborate bluff. :banghead:

Well Fallout 4 would have had to be copyrighted sooner or later. The Three Dog guy tweeted back at the start of the year and everyone thought we would have Fallout 4 by now. The store stuff, well that could just because fans want more stuff to buy... the no comment thing. Legal matters

Funny thing... why hasn't anyone else copyrighted "Fallout 4" buy now? I am not sure what it takes to make a copyright but it was going to come sooner or later right?

Not for me, I have been there and done that.. I am still bracing myself for the real news when that comes.

The tumblr and twitter are connected. Not the main website as we know. Which might be the only saving grace for this.

Really? Is any evidences that they're connected? So that means if all three are connected, then all three are fakes, or all three are real.

The reason I think that the website and the twitter is connected is because there is a sound file name bridgeport-5284ec0d1b93c.mp3 on the website. And on the twitter, there is a photo of a section of a city in real life, which people deducted that it is in fact, a photo of the city of Bridgeport, Connecticut. There can't be such coincidence.

Most likely all three are fakes. Though, that comment by 3 Dog threw it off a bit though.

Yea if they connected the other two to it or even one of them. Then this is a bust. I would like to see sources though on your information. If you can't link because of not forum appropriate stuff just PM me a link.

Well everyone keeps questions why Beth has not dropped a comment qbout all this and its easy...FREE PUBLICITY.

Sure they squashed the PREY2 thing, but that is cause they were not working on it,we all know FO4 is in the works or nearly complete, production cycle wise,as for the actual website, does anyone remember the FO3 countdown timer?

The named mp3 is at the top. https://twitter.com/12072299 has a photo of the city of Bridgeport, CT. Can't be a coincidence.

It doesn't really matter. Beth had NEVER even acknowledged that Fallout 4 exists, so a teaser (like they did with the FO3 countdown) would be a clear indication that they haven't abadoned the project to focus on that dumb Elder Scrolls Online instead.
