This, collectables (in the style of vault boy bobbleheads snow globes) should be like fonv where they just have a monetary value.

Eghh I'm not a massive fan of the whole second screen experience it could be interesting but things of this nature seem extremely contrived and under-developed.

I think it actually fits Fallout very well and still keep its own feel to it. Boston has that red colonial design that could really look good run down or destroyed.

Well in a technical sense it would be about FALLOUT:Real Life.

If this teaser website is indeed Fallout 4, here is what I'd like to see:

  • Removal of bobbleheads or any skill-related pickups, which if you take the time to collect can make you rather overpowered. They're also just an annoyance, because I found myself always finding them after already upping the relevant skill to 100.
  • Longer levelling time, as in Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3 I found myself reaching the level-cap within twenty to thirty hours, before even having done most of the quests. In my opinion, there are two ways to rectify this. Add more levels, up to Level 50 for example, but have each level yield fewer skill points and give perks every four levels or so instead. Alternatively, simply make levelling require more experience. Either way, I think it needs to last longer.
  • New areas that strike awe, such as some of the Dwarven ruins in Skyrim. Just because it's a wasteland, doesn't mean it has to be totally flat and barren. I'd like to see more vaults, large ones at that, and larger towns/cities which actually feel like real communities and not just five or so people huddled together in some buildings a la Fallout 3. A proper weather system would also help this. Snow, rain, sandstorms, whatever. Anything to add variety.
  • A fixed reputation/karma system. The karma system seemed really arbitrary. For example, in my current Fallout 3 playthrough, my character is praised as a "hero" and, whilst he does do good in quests, he's constantly stealing from people. It makes little sense. The reputation system with factions of New Vegas was good, except I didn't like how it made it difficult for you to wear the armour which you liked. For example, I liked the look of the NCR Ranger armour, but couldn't wear it because it was faction-locked to them and so I couldn't go into Legion areas.
  • This might sound a little more vague, but surprises. Fallout is a universe where almost anything can happen. It's had aliens, brains in jars and zombie people, so I want to see something or somewhere new. Something that comes as a surprise. Perhaps even a bastion area with no radiation. Whatever.

Forza Horizon uses Xbox smartglass to have the game map up and your able to set waypoints in real time and actually see your car icon move around the map,but past that I'm not certain of any other such things first hand.

Let's not place bets entirely on Boston. I mean, I even remember reading about Fallout 4 featuring the Commonwealth's Institute, which is mentioned in that Android quest in Fallout 3. Apparently the website features morse code, but I'll be damned if I can decipher it.

Boston is in the Commonwealth? I assumed that, when it referred to the Commonwealth, it meant either the Commonwealth like we have (which is the group of countries that formerly formed the British Empire, such as Canada and whatnot) or the European Commonwealth: Fallout's EU.

EDIT: Nevermind. Commonwealth of New England.

Yeah, though if the survivor is a fake then your guess would be as good as mine. If the site is real then it has hinted at Boston way too many times for it to be a coincidence.

Looking at the messages and hints at the the survivor website.... It simpy reenacted some events as the great war started and ended near Boston.

Does that mean that the actual FO4 game has to take place there (if it's legit of course:) )? Nope.

It could be for example the background story of a ghoul we meet in FO4 in New York. Not very creative sure (and not what I want to see). But it's as plausible as to assume FO4 is placed in Boston.

Simply put we don't know yet. Hopefully soon!

So sometimes these countdowns aren't time zone corrected. Does everyone else's say three or so hours left? I'm on pacific time.

Tracert proceeds normal, so I don't think it's a ton of people. There is something happening over there :) (taken offline, updating,... who knows).

Updating is probable which sounds like good news (hopefully). I just want to be there before the countdown hits zero, lol.

I kind of like them. not the bonus, but having something hidden throughout the world is pretty cool. I enjoyed tying to find them all.
