I might be wrong, but wasn't Harold the only survivor of his vault? Also, I miss Harold. I hope he has saplings or something in the new one.

I was wrong. Nevermind

I don't think it was ever fully disclosed. There is a bunch of stuff on him from Van Buren. It says he was a member od Vault 29, but with Van Buren being cancelled I don't know if it is canon.

The Wiki also discusses the Institute. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/The_Institute

Isn't there a route 119 that runs through or near Boston. Now this is just speculation but could the "Black Row" also be what we know as Merchant's Row in Boston? Merchant's Row is not too far from MIT which is what I think is the institute actually it's just across the Charles River.

the fallout wiki says its Vault 29 that Harold came from, but any ways.....

Yes there is Route 119 around there and the Black Row/merchant's row is a theory some have debated.

Some posts were wondering what the prepareforthefuture.com site was like before the concept art/timer thing was shown for Fallout 3. I think I may of found it, but I am not sure if this was before the tease or after:

http://gasket.tv/projects/fallout3/, with each of the TV spots still up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4noz1KVkiQo is what I think was the animation played when prepareforthefutre.com was entered.

This is what the site also looked like when the teaser trailer neared:

Yep, that's the one I remember. Good find.

Comparing that to thesurvivor229.com, I would expect something of at least that quality if not better.

IIRC, I think Oblivion was teased in a similar way: Everyday, a letter appeared on the website that would eventually spell out OBLIVION (each letter was in the Daedric font). I don't think there was ever any logos or links, just sayings under each letter ("The empire is falling blah blah").

Agree, it all looks pretty cheap for a fallout game, but maybe they′re waiting to announce it to start promoting it with videos and stuff...

like I said:

Site done basic with a cryptic messages brings in huge hype and speculation.(thousands of people trying to figure this out)

Pretty site with logos and the like brings in big hype no real speculation,(thousands check see and move on,till launch)

which would you want to use???

It has been pretty entertaining trying to figure it out. If it is a hoax, the hoaxer has my respect. A lot of thought seems to have gone into this.

It's actually strange how much the quality of Beth's marketing dropped. I'm talking about the Skyrim DLCs, except Hearthfire, since that was just Skyrim Horse Armor. Dawnguard was one picture IIRC, and Dragonborn just had a trailer that was teased all the time, but the hype died pretty fast. Dragonborn's hype especially was shocking, that was supposed to be the biggest DLC for Skyrim and barely anyone besides the Bethesda forums talked about it. The only strong part of the Dragonborn hype was the part when we were waiting for the trailer and then the few days following trailer. They also basically let beta testers leak stuff from the DLC with impunity. But would they [censored] up this bad with teasing FO4? This is no DLC, nor an unnumbered Fallout (at least it shouldn't be one), so wtf?

Agree... lets just wait and see how it ends

that′s true!, it′d make a great start in order to promote the game.

Maybe the graphic designers and web developers at Bethesda aren't as clever as we thought. They spelled 'December' wrong in this picture https://scontent-a-sjc.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/q73/s720x720/1455848_591736254227235_404386936_n.jpg

I have to agree, granted it kind of looks like an inverted image from the great lakes reagion but you have to compress and strech it and even then things are off.
