Fallout 4 Speculation Suggestions and Ideas #173

Post » Wed Dec 04, 2013 12:03 pm

lol

So the argument that survivor2299 is fake because its not 'professional' doesn't seem to hold up when they screw simple spelling and editing up.

I still think its fake though.

The picture is actually a blueprint map to the secret lost treasure of President Nixon. :D

I enjoy the way the site is giving messages everyday. I love how much of a puzzle it is and trying to decipher its meanings. There is not doubt in my mind that something big will be announced that day for fallout.

Merchandise ads aren't being done by the important marketing people, that pic was probably done by mooks. The real reason that argument might not hold up is because Beth got worse in hyping in general - at least they barely hyped Skyrim's biggest DLC.

Not that Skyrim DLC's need much marketing  . but yep after that we got a tiny announcement about virals and the first try on it for Wolfenstein and The Evil Within. So it seems there are changes happenening on marketing. About the austrian store that already lists Fallout 4. Forget it! They do it all they time. I use this one (to get english versions, I am from Austria and it's ok) but they get easy excited.

In Fallout 2 Nixon was a total http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj125/Gizmojunk/381099NsVR_w.jpg.

One of the changes is that a chunk of the market stopped watching TV, and now watches Twitter and Youtube instead.

Never understood what was ever so special about Reddit; tried to follow some KS AMA's and it was a complete disaster. Couldn't make out anyting that was happening there (the forum layout was absolutely eye melting brainwreck, dunno it's changed then).

I dunno. Skyrim was designed in a way that one playthrough is enough, most people that praised it to the skies just had their 80 or so hours of fun and moved on. Those people probably didn't buy the DLCs, some maybe didn't even find out about their existence until later. They should have hyped them more, the profit could have been a lot greater, but they were probably too arrogant to consider that their game has become a shining example of "pump and dump" in the gaming industry.

You underestimate Let's plays and the net. But it was pretty much the same with the last FO3 DLC and NV DLC's there wasn't a lot of marketing going on too. I don't think it was arrogance more a late adapting to the newer methods.

I got to hear that Fallout 3's original cover ( the BOS soldier ) was made in 2004...

That artwork was used by GameInformer to reveal Fallout 3:

Considering that there was already a pretty spot on design for the BOS 4 years before the release, it's really unlikely that they don't have some concept art by now.

It would be cool if death had ending slides too. It could show the affects of everything you've done up to that point and the consequences of your failure.

That actually would be cool, unless you died a lot,I'd rather it be from "death by important events" rather then just exploring and getting your ass handed to you by two deathclaws and a super mutant.

Which begs to question why don't we get waring enemies, deathclaw attacks me while I fight a super, why don't they turn on one another, unless there is a wasteland treaty between all the beats????

Sure Bethesda has it. The simple question is do they want to show it ? :)

Even if it would be only one with a random quote as it was in the originals. I would be more then happy. This simple thing sets the tone of the game perfectly. But to make it work that way the game has to be significantly harder (which I would prefer too).

Sorry I've been swept up in this Survivor 2299 stuff. Read a bit about it here & on reddit. Wouldn't there be leaked information on the game development? Are they that tight that not even a janitor has looked over someones shoulder or something ?

Thinking of that... It could be neat if there were alternate end states for the game much like dying in that example; kinda like for one example, if you could've, with a specifc character build, persuaded Liam to come back in the vault after Tranquillity Lane (if the story was made to support that) and the game would end right there explaining how you never found out what was really going on in the outside but also how things went on in the vault from there on. Giving a very unique ending not obtainable any other way. Another one being that the courier just walked past the NCR outpost and was never seen again by the locals, but had some other ventures that couldve bordered with the game. Stuff like that.

Sort of like the ending in DM when the player sides with Elijah?

Anything is better than a loading screen.
