This topic is for a friendly discussion of ideas and suggestions for Fallout 4. We all have opinions about what the next game should have and should not have. Each of us has the right to express that opinion freely. There are points we agree on and points we do not agree on. This means that people are going to disagree with you on some things. Accept that and move on. No need to beat your point so far into the ground that no one wants to look at it any more.


At moderator discretion, threads about specific and distinct topics as they relate to FO4 and the rest of the Fallout series may be acceptable in the Fallout Series forum. General idea/suggestion topics for a future Fallout game will either be closed, or moved to this one.

This thread should be used to discuss items you'd like to see in a future game, gameplay tweaks, quest ideas, things you hope are not in the next game and so on. If you want to discuss major issues, use a separate topic - such as the discussion about adding multi-player or co-op play, which already has a thread. Please search first to see if there is an active/recent thread on a particular topic.

Something to note. Discussions of Child Killing is not allowed on these boards. Don't even bring it up in athis thread. It won't happen in any future game from Bethesda, so there is no reason to even discuss it. If you post about this subject, you may be Warned and or Banned from the boards for doing so.

This is also not a thread to discuss current or past Fallout Games, other than to mention an aspect of the game you want to see included, or not included, in a future Fallout game.

A redditor said Todd Howard also suggested they were not going to announce anything, then bam...Skyrim.

Half the team working on VI, the other half on 4. Whatever garners more interest, they'll shift the other team over and go full out on the one project.

Why? Bethesda doesn't need to announce every single [censored] game they develop at VGX.

it's a smart move to get your game some publicity. More so makes sense to announce it there then on some random website.

The best anyone can hope for is to simply watch VGX and hope Bethesda does actually show something and that they were just teasing. In my opinion, I don't see it happening. Neither on VGX or the website. I actually don't expect to see another Fallout for a long time.

* They haven't flat-out denied any rumour or anything relating to the 2299 website.

* All they've said is it won't be at VGX.

* The countdown on the website ends on the 11th anyway; 3 Days later than VGX.

* I have no life.

Skyrim was announced on the 11th of December.

if there not gonna be at VGX and there is no FO4 wouldnt they just say they are not connected to 2299 rather then watch it [censored] all of our minds?

If this is all just a big hoax and Bethesda has been ignorantly allowing this to occur i seriously hope legal detrimental actions are taken against any and all involved, and they get kicked the family jewels as well

I'm pretty sure Beth would have a reason to not announce it on VGX. I don't know what reason, but if the survivor2299 stuff is legit and if we get some kind of teaser on the 11th then we can all be sure that they have a reason.

I agree this is a bit unfair if it's fake to let it get our hopes up.

i feel like thats bad publicity like if it turns out to be fake especially something this big and unspoken about by anyone except us and such, would make no one interested in any other teaser in the next year or so ....

They just don't want to be perceived as they would bother with such low and unimportant affairs as the whole Survivor2299 site because in the end that would apply pressure on them each time similiar things pop up. A professional and large company like Bethesda can't afford to be obliged by the wants of a huge anonymous crowd, they have to preserve their image of being above everything. That's why they don't name the survivor2299 site and similar by name, we have to think that they haven't even noticed this excessive commotion of the last month.

Also, lol at those who still hope for an announcement. It can't become more clear than we got it now for the above mentioned reasons.

Nah, I can definitely see people getting excited for anything teasing Fallout. Everyone is dying to see another one and we're at a point where folks are expecting one soon enough. Reasonable enough, as its been a while since Fallout 3.

These days, I don't speculate anything to be true unless it's officially from the developer/publisher.

so Pete Hines Tweeted that they were not going to be at the VGX's on Saturday,so I guess if that holds true,then no FALLOUT4 annoucement.

But still not denying or confirming the survivior site doesn't Seem like a smart PR move in my ominion...

They mentioned nothing about a total lack of Fallout 4. Just that it won't be at VGX.

with the one with prey 2.. they said something in less than 2 weeks after that start of the site

OK, so if Oblivion was released in 2006, and Skyrim was revealed in 2010, that's a 4 year difference.

Fallout 3 was released in 2008, And if Fallout 4 is revealed at VGX or one of those sketchy websites, that would be a 5 year difference.

Fallout New Vegas (I know its not BGS, but still a Fallout game) was released in 2010, And if beth keeps the same track record, We could expect a 2014 reveal.

They almost immediately denied that they had something to do with the Prey 2 hoax, but they 'ignore' something so big about one of their major IPs? Yeah, totally.
