This topic is for a friendly discussion of ideas and suggestions for Fallout 4. We all have opinions about what the next game should have and should not have. Each of us has the right to express that opinion freely. There are points we agree on and points we do not agree on. This means that people are going to disagree with you on some things. At moderator discretion, threads about specific and distinct topics as they relate to FO4 and the rest of the Fallout series may be acceptable in the Fallout Series forum. General idea/suggestion topics for a future Fallout game will either be closed, or moved to this one.

This thread should be used to discuss items you'd like to see in a future game, gameplay tweaks, quest ideas, things you hope are not in the next game and so on. If you want to discuss major issues, use a separate topic - such as the discussion about adding multi-player or co-op play, which already has a thread. Please search first to see if there is an active/recent thread on a particular topic.

Something to note. Discussions of Child Killing is not allowed on these boards. Don't even bring it up in this thread. It won't happen in any future game from Bethesda, so there is no reason to even discuss it. If you post about this subject, you may be Warned and or Banned from the boards for doing so.

This is also not a thread to discuss current or past Fallout Games, other than to mention an aspect of the game you want to see included, or not included, in a future Fallout game.

Too bad Fallout didnt show up but at least it wasn't on that cringe worthy award show, geez. The only really bad news about this is that Fallout 4 most likely wont arrive in 2014.

After watching VGX, i'm kind of glad they didn't announce Fallout 4. What a travesty of a show

About to sit down to some late night Vegas on the PS3. I'll be updating every once in a while with things I notice that can be improved and ideas that pop into my head. This way I don't forget them later.

What a hugely disappointing VGX

Wasn't New Vegas announced on February 2010? If so, theres still some hope of a 2014 release.

Thank you for not announcing any new games at VGX Bethesda. This would have been embarassing to reveal a Beth title on such a poor show. I want my 3hours of life back.

I bet after you saw what they were doing you guys were like..."uhm....we ehm...have this meeting...yeah this important meeting!...unfortunately we can't reveal our title at VGX's"...(let's get quickly away from here!!!)

What do you mean called it, there was a twitter post point blank saying they wouldn't even BE at VGX let alone in the same state.

New Vegas was an anomaly it wasn't part of the typical cycle, until we get some more information from Bethesda we can only make wild stabs in the dark there is nothing to go on.But having said that Bethesda hasn't commented on there current project in 6 months so we will hopefully get another snippet of info soon.

According to the FO wiki it was announced on April 20, 2009. Released on October 19, 2010.

Lol I hope they announce it soon. I would love a trailer . I didn't want VGX, I never like the shows. I don't mind tech shows though or interviews. I thought Bethesda wouldn't want to be there because the shows are normally terrible. Still wonder what Pete is doing in LA.

I was thinking of the teaser trailer. Well, back to speculating. I do hope for announcement soon. Since Fallout 4 is an extremely hyped for game, they are probably going announce it at a big gaming event. Since E3 is now on live TV again (Spike though....) maybe that will be it.

In this day and age, does a game need to be announced at a gaming show or convention?

All Bethesda would have to do is activate a web page with a Teaser and the Internet would light up. That could kick off the PR campaign.

I mean this page would go through version about once a week or so, now we have done like 30 in the past couple of weeks, all on a website that was circumspect at best. And, other websites were posting stories about rumors. Just think what would happen if a BGS stamped web page went up......

I would be happy if they just confirmed they were working on it ,i know they want to be secretive about it but its been long enough to act like Bethesda forgot about fallout.

Of course it could, I honestly never liked gaming conventions period. The only thing they're good for is having a chance to thank the people who gave you such fun in person

and exclusive stuff that can only be obtained at shows. Other than that they are a waste and force developers into a time slot in which they can reveal things instead of just doing

it when they are ready and letting it fly.

Firstly I have a very simple request. Please please please keep the hardcoe mode from new Vegas. Absolutely essential for any of my playthroughs.

The more I think about it, the more likely I think an April reveal at PAX East will be. Certainly a better option than that VGX crap was, plus it would fit their style to reveal a game supposedly set around the ruins of Boston at an event taking place in Boston and it would be early enough a reveal for a late 2014 release.

That's my theory and I'm sticking to it, at least until somebody shoots it down.

Well, now that TS2299 is revealed a hoax and VGX is over with no Fallout 4, back to speculating on these threads

True. I would say that all we have left is till the end of December to see some form of an announcement or we are going to be waiting a loooong time to see anything substantial. If anything at least this got people hyped up for Fallout 4 and got us talking more furiously about. And we have some new fellow wastelanders in the forums.

The Boston rumor was supposedly started up by some guy on reddit and there is no concrete ties to Bethesda using Boston as a location just a lie from people on reddit and apart from that there is nothing to suggest Fallout will be announced then, have I shot it down yet?

People would argue its a hoax because any hoaxer would have to outdoo what DCHoaxer did to even be concidered credible.
