The whole point for me is becoming something that can tackle the wastes, if I have no health then whats the point in doing anything if I'm just gonna die because I have no health? No the way they are doing it now is just perfect with me, maybe make weaker enemies be able to swarm.

Its not that you have no health but you have a lot less and do not end up like a godling.

Be honest doesn't it make the game boring that you could own an army of raiders alone? It gets boring to me.

And enemies swarming wouldn't really help when you can one hit kill them with a weak weapon.

If I wanted barely any health I would walk around at quarter health.
No, I enjoy doing that. I just wish there was more enemies so I could get more loot.
Unless in swarms their attacks and health is upped, hive mind.

Its wouldn't be "barely any" I'd say it'd be about the amount you get at level 8 or level 12 but over the course of the game. Where are you getting these assumptions?

You enjoy nothing being able to stand a chance against you? I hate it, that's why I attack Enclave Soldiers on Very Hard at Level 4. Very Hard is too easy, it should be correct lorewise.

Why would they have a hive mind? It would make no sense for almost every hostile seen in previous games.

Why would I want that much health? You keep talking about have little health, I want a lot.
Yes, but that doesn't mean I dont come up against things that can kill me with that high stats.
Just another way of saying mob mind, or herd behavior. Kinda like with bighorners when you kill one they will all attack you.

So you want to be an indestructable beast? Why? It makes the game so boring knowing you can take on everything.

And they should only notice if you do it in their line of sight or they hear a gun shot.

Like I said, rather than gimping the player for the entire game, the enemies need to scale better. That way high level enemies still pose a threat a high levels. Will you walk all over low level enemies when you're high level? Sure, but you should.

The problem here is an equal number of people want to be indestructible, as there are people wanting to be challenged at all times. The solution I was going for was to be able to choose how you end up. To increase your health you have to give up half your skill points for that level, endurance still affects the base hlth ad how much it increases by but you determine when it increases.

This doesn't even need to be from the start, it could add health anyway for the first ten levels (your still not too powerful level usually) and then require you telling it too, this system ensures you can never master everything and take on death claws naked.

All the enemies need to improved to some degree, but you or them being bullet sponges stinks of bad game design.

I don't want to be indestructible. Far from it. However, while a radroach should be a pain at level one, I should be stomping on it by level ten. They should not be difficult for the entire game. Likewise there needs to be enemies I have to grow into. And even when I've reached max level, max HP, with the best armor and the best weapons, there needs to be enemies I still fear. I agree that bullet sponges don't do it. They need to be able to dish out as well as they receive. I shouldn't be able to just waltz in, guns blazing without a worry. And you don't have to gimp the PC to achieve that.

My idea was to have endurance have a greater influence on HP gain at level-up. That way, a character with an endurance of, say, three might have a similar starting HP as a character with an endurance of eight. But by as you level up, the discrepancy between the two begins to widen, so that by max level it's a significant and noticeable difference. If you want a character that can take a beating, then you put more of your SPECIAL points into endurance. If you choose to put those points somewhere else, you'll feel the difference in the long run.

Have to agree with Mitheledh here.

The system as it is, works, but only needs some tweaking and balancing. Like much lower base HP which the initial END level then refines, and the said higher boosts at level up based on the END value. And the other SPECIAL's are made equally important in their respective categories, and SPECIAL made much harder to increase (just special cases), making an "indestructable" character (or at least highly enduring one) would come at a cost in other areas (as it should).
