We need more fighting for our very survival to the point where we can't afford to linger around to collect the loot because they will just keep coming. Though, not too easy to get away and not too quickly. I want more fire fights over sandbags. Not like the Anchorage Virtual Reality mission, because it was bland and tasteless. What happenned to the WWI feeling with power armoured fanatics and mutant freaks firing freakin' laser beams over the trenches! haha

So what are you actually suggesting... GOW's Horde mode...?
If you are talking wars (like Hoover Dam and the retaking of the purifier) the current engine (and yes Skyrims evolution still basically is the same engine) has got to go to show a realistically scaled conflict.
(otherwise we still would see 10+ soldiers taking on another 10+ soldiers..)

Fix the factions. For the factions in the game, allow us to, I say again, JOIN, not work, for the factions. Did I mention joining the Enclave?

Unless you are born in the Enclave, you won't be considered pure blood. They will never let you join, maybe you could work for them though.

You know what i'd like? The ability to take the combat initiative when in conversation. I know you get the chance to choose an 'attack' option every now and then, but that unfailingly turns the enemy hostile, so they attack me before i get to take the initiative. Id like to choose to attack someone through dialogue, and not have them attack me instantly, rather, id get a few moments to actually get my gun out and shoot/punch them in the mouth before they realise whats happening.

This worked in F1/2 because it was turn based, and i would choose to attack someone and my turn would begin. It doesnt work so well in real time.

Something like AoD's critical strike dialogue options could work equally well.

- no survival horror no action oriented game
- add the good things from skyrim
- a bigger map and more interesting which means more buildings types, less dungeons but very worth exploring
- more factions with the role of the real karma system
- karma more reputation with a given faction than good or bad system
- more weapons they were'nt enough in the 3 and NV
- more specialization for weapons ex impossible to pierce a super armour without armour piercing ammos
- less underground levels like the subway in fallout 3
- no stupid corridor-like map like in fallout 3
- 3 companions
- shortcuts to give fast orders to companions
- player should only be human as opposed to other posts
- a map with nature reborn and some parts still wasteland
- add quest given by heating conversation or reading stuffs

Anyone else really want it to be based in the area where the Midwest BoS is? Like several decades after Tactics, and they're still absorbing everything, but then they run into another nation?

I sure do :tops:

But I doubt they kept expanding after Fallout Tactics. It was about 90 years ago, before Caesar's Legion and before the NCR, they would have made it to California in that time, but never did.

I would like to know what happened to them. I am hoping for the Barnaky Ending :fallout:

I want to be able to read the magazines and books we find in the game. And for some of them they could have pictures like in the energy weapons one. They could add some variety by making some certain issues, or chunks of the book.

F2 went a bit far with it, i enjoy the odd easter egg; the bridge keeper was hilarious, but a lot of it just got too silly.

Then I think they should bring back the wild wasteland perk for people who like the over the top crap that could happen in fallout 2

Least enjoyable part of FNV was that I couldn't tell Christine that I ran with Veronica, and vice versa.

Also that I couldn't thank Christine for leaving me her cool sniper rifle.

Perhaps in addition to books and magazines, there could be newspapers?

That migh be over board, so maybe somthing along the lines of a library with a wroking macrofiche reader you could find films for. That would be pretty slick.

I personaly would like to see more of the brotherood of steel in this one cause i loved the part they played in fallout 3 and what they stand for.I would also like to see the enclave make a comback and have the ncr and perhaps and ceasars leigion team up or the brotherhood of steel.And it would be nice to be able to take over gangs and or factions in the proses of doing the main quest line and also be able to change like for example ceasars legion good and relase the slaves.But if you do that it would have a tone of side quests branching off from the main quest line.Perhaps to many...

I don't mind ridiculous stuff as long as it's far apart, doesn't mean I just want 5 ridiculous things either.
I want lots, just.. Pace it out better, and make sure it's clear that it's an easter egg/reference.

Only by choice... If there is one thing I actually agree on in the latest FO games it is a more serious tone and setting. The WW trait is perfect... Its drawback is that one has to neglect a character trait but it can give a player zany and wacky experiences..

The best proof for this:
Many of us love OWB, many of us hate it as well. (is it funny? or a joke taken too far..)

How about having a more fluid hand-to-hand combat system so it feels like im fighting rather than swinging and hoping i hit something.
Make it so every 5 minutes my xbox doesn't crash or something doesn't lag out every 5 minutes.
Bring together all previous factions from the past and then add some new ones as well.
Have the main character be an american in china.
The story could also be set in a remote place like Hawaii or the phillipenes.
Add vehicless to make travel faster but not pointless like fast travel.
Have a different crosshair that actually will be where the gun is shooting(I like the classic 4 lines and a dot in the middle).
Make decisions in fallout 3 and NV affect the story in 4(ex. Mass Effect on a larger scale).
Make it so I dont have to take 4 or 5 trips to bring all of my unwanted stuff to the store(like a mailman system).
Fix the glitch where my guy stopps shooting and just stood there while being attacked in VATS(glitch ocurred in 3 and NV).
Have more customizable companions. Not one companion was a friend of the Legion som I had to fly solo(ex. a brother, girlfriend, sentry-bot, pet deathclaw that are with you from the start that share your views).
Bring multiple(like 4 or 5) companions so yo can have your own little death squad so you dont have to storm a deathclaw cave with 3 people.
Customizable houses(wallpaper, bring back the robotic butler, more/different furniture, expansions).
Make it so there is no anoying, all-knowing, computerized faction leader.
Fix the damage scale(the missle launcher should not do less damage than the AM rifle).
Have duel-wielding pistols/smg's.
Customizable armor(ex. color and upgradable statistics, looks, and special capabilities).
Better iron sights so you can actually see what you are shooting at.
More random faction battles(they look cool and allow you to side with the one of your choosing).
More interactive invironment(shoot through/destroy walls/buildings, deadly land conditions).
Be able to give more precise orders to your companions.
Like previous member said, you should not be able to pull a minigun, power armor, and 345 5mm rounds out of a chunk of a mutilated foot. The guns, ammo, and items should be scattered about and the armor should be beyond salvageable if a body explodes.
Be able to become a part of more major factions and not just work for them.
Develope more advanced forms of mutants and ghouls(bring back the behemouth!!!!!).
More guns with special affects rather than every one shooting bullets, missles, laser or plasma.
Make it so there is less loading(not every time I go through a door). Also, give me an option during quick travel if i want to spawn inside or outside a building so that, first of all, i dont have load twice, once during quick travel and another when im entering the place and second, I could spawn outsid so that I dont spawn in a room crowded with enemies.

Thanks for considering a few of my ideas.

OWB is too ridiculous.
Like I said, just space it our more and it'll be fine.
And no, I do not want to be forced to pick a trait so I can only get one real trait just so I can get funny easter eggs which should be part of the default Fallout gameplay.

It seemed to me that they wanted to go back.To show the western elders how wrong they were to not let new people in. One of the ends talk about how "it would be decades before a reunion can be made" another has the Calculator getting ready for the "inevitable meeting" with the Western Brotherhood. "But one question remains. What would happen when this young civilization encounters the original knowledge hoarding Brotherhood of Steel? The scribes and elders prepair for a meeting and they hope to put differences in the past." The only ending that doesn't make mention of the orginal brotherhood is the Barnaky ending.

Then there is also Paladin Latham that makes a speech about "if only the elders could see you know. They would see the error of their ways." Granted he wasn't apart of the MWBoS leadership, he was lost during the storm that hit the airconvoy but I can imagine that many of the MWBoS elders share his view.

Granded all the endings of Tactics will have to be tweaked because its been almost 90 years since Fallout Tactics.

Really wouldn't you want to rub their face in it? I sure would.

In FO2 I already felt it was over the top... so it's a taste thing..
