Fallout 4: Speculation, Suggestions & Ideas - Thread #55

Im just trying to be a bit realistic. But what part takes fallout out of fallout
i'd say most of your ideas would ruin fallout experience: 1) For what reason would you explore with a sniper squad at your back? 2) Versatility of weaponry carried is (atleast for me) important and limiting it to 3 or so would be awful.
And also: how much have you even played fallout? Limbs can be severed or blown up, you can take cover behind objects(only i doesnt happen by pressing some button, just go behind something), in NV(hardcoe mode9 stimpacks heal over time not instantly and limiting carry limit would harm strength advantages in the game.

I had an idea where once you start a game 50% of the containers, at random lose their loot.
After so many hours containers begin losing stuff in accordance to how long you've been playing - but again though this would be counter-productive for long playthroughs.

Well, putting that aside.

I want Fallout 4 to be The Pitt + Dead Money x50.
It's set in The Pitt and takes place after the Lone Wanderer helped Ashur save his daughter, say it's about 18 years after the first game.
Ashur is getting old and he wants his daughter to take over after him, but his 2nd in command has been plotting to take over after Ashur dies because he thinks that the daughter is too young and inexperienced to take care of their city.
Game will be about the political aspects of The Pitt and who is gonna rule over it.
And it will be about a really heavy survival experience when outside of the civilized walls.

You can make sure Ashur stays in control and stay by his side as his personal doctor.
Or you can make sure that his 2nd in command gets control.
Or you can help Ashur's daughter by either taking control over The Pitt politically or by causing a revolution.
Alternative, you can help other factions linger their way in and grasp control. Like Lyons Brotherhood, Talon Company, Ronto and The Institute.

The story will center around political aspects, territory control, deception and playing players against one another.
While the exploration theme will center around survival. Traps, radiation, ladders and bridges and floors that can crash under your feet, the mutants et cetera.

Quick pitch 101.

I think Fallout 4 will be great if the place was not hit by atomic bombs.

I like collecting and scaving, got chatting with a friend of mine about this topic we would love to have display cases and shelves for a verity of objects.

a display for:
1) all unique weapons, the model trucks (nuka cola), the billiard/pool items, sports items...etc each time you get a bonus and fill them all you get a perk...

2) odds and ends that end up being a huge sand table or giant map of the playing area. think special soda bottle = tower, old paint in can = river, pillow feathers = snow on the mountians....etc.

3) i like the records idea or different toys of different types: planes (fighters, bombers, commercial...etc), cars/trucks or TRAINS :)

i would like to see different bears they should be more powerful...what about bats?

Just to let you know. Fallout, Fallout 2 and Tactics also have very little radiation. Its only found in places one would think to find it, just like how New Vegas does it :tops:

I think it would be interesting to have a Fallout game set in the wake of a recently destroyed nation, which ruled over the land for X amount of years (NOT NCR or Caesar's Legion, some faction completely new we haven't ever seen).

So would there be petty groups struggling to survive own their own or fighting to fill the new opening in the powerstcructure? Or player crafting his own faction?

I imagine it would be something similar to if Caesar's Legion fell, but these smaller factions didn't loose their identity when apart of this collapsed nation, or are completely new, and something born out of the collapse.

Basically I imagine this collapsed nation having had a governing system where there were different parties (political or simply influential enough groups) and factions, vied for control at one point or another through elections or something, and through various events throughout their collected history (both external and domestic), this nation gradually collapsed under it's own weight, leaving these old and new factions, to sort of pick up the pieces. Although, there would still be a faction of this collapsed nation, made up of the true believers (sort of like the Soviet government after the fall of the USSR, where there was still a group of Soviet holdouts,) all of who are looking to hold onto what little they have left to hold onto, not wanting to be erased from history.

It wouldn't be a story of one faction taking complete control in the end, like Caesar's Legion, NCR, or House in New Vegas, but simply a story of collapse and the extreme aftermath that can follow such an event. I haven't quite figured out where the PC story would fit into this all? Maybe just a person simply trying to help where he/she can, obviously seeing the good and bad of every faction (no absolute good or bad factions, simply different shades of grey,) and taking sides where he/she wants?

I think at the end of the game, it could end up being something like New Vegas' beginning, in the sense that these factions who were simply caught in this collapse, unsure of what to do next, and are once again in a situation to fight for absolute control of the land, and build a new nation of their own, if that makes sense.

Coins?
Yes, special coins similar to the platinum chip but since it's not new vegas not a poker chip. Although of course gambling should still be around and there needs o be more prosttutes, and I wouldn't mind nudity just so parents don't buy kids the game.

So a token?
Aaaaand why would that be better than a holodisk?
Makes more sense with a holodisk than a random coin.
Even in New Vegas it felt ridiculous with the platinum chip.

We could have those silver spoons depicting a specific location. And silver would probally be valuable still so at least one guy could buy them you for rather high prices.
