Have a purpose for HAM Radios!
This, this so much. I make it a point to turn on every ham radio I can find, only to be disappointed with static. :cryvaultboy:

I turn every HAM radio I find without even thinking about it. If one of them just said "hello" while I did it I might just spill tea(not a euphemism).

Yeah, the same! Bad habit, no reason of doing it since I know nothing will happen.

I think it all comes down to this: at some deep subconscious level we all secretly think that "this radio will have more than just static!" when we know it really won't. I do it all the time. At least the devs didn't do anything too cruel though, like make the first HAM radio you're likely to encounter have somebody talking on the other end and then have every other radio in the game give nothing but static. That would be cruel.

I think besides just making HAM radios operable for use with chatting across the wasteland, it would be cool if they had it so every now and again, you stumbled upon a random NPC using one for whatever reason it might be. Might be sort of amusing if you found an NPC chatting it up on the radio with someone, stopped to confront you about what you were doing there, you kill them and then later on down the road in some settlement or something, you overhear some people talking about chatting with some random wastelander or even one of their own, and it turns out to be the one you killed. They could even be gearing up to go out and search for you/the killer. That would be fun.

another thing you should add is the "tiredness" or fatigue because in both fallout 3 and fallout NV we can walk around for days and not feel tired or hungry or tired. That's just unrealistic

Another thing is, make the vaults better! I know it wouldn't be fallout with vaults, but i think most can agree they are the creepiest, confusing and most annoying part of the game. In new vegas for example Vault 22 and 34 are two of my least favorite things to go explore. I just want them to be more enjoyable some how, give me a reason to want to go in other than some weapons of a quest.

That would be cool, those in depth details and features make a game great.

The first time around I enjoyed them, then the next few times they were just there. Have vaults like vault 11, or actually put some people in there that aren't some thugs.

That probably won't happen, seeing as how we already saw San Francisco in Fallout 2 and how Bethesda will probably stay away from the west coast for fear of screwing it up.

Did you play Fallout 3? The Enclave were the basically destroyed...twice, so only remnants if anything.

Yes I did. I know but I thought it would be a good idea to bring them back. I like enclave better than legion or NCR

Play Fallout 2 and you'll have San Fransisco.

Even if you like them better, you can't summon the dead in Fallout. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7Yp2L6c2KM.

in fallout 4 i would like to be able to start my own fraction and be able to recruit wastelanders into it also it would be cool if you could take over other citys and go to war with other fractions.

I made a fraction before, it was 3/7, went to war with 4/7, and now we are one, saving the wasteland.

But if you are one now, then you are not a fraction? Then what are you? Did you cease to be after you saved the wasteland, or was the wasteland saved when you ceased to be?
