I'd like the whole formula of their sandbox rethought to offer something different for a change (especially if TES V, which I see likely as their next game, turns out to be like like that). Along with the RPG elements to be more effective instead of diminished, which imo is worrisome trend with bethesda.

If Fallout 4 is just another rehash of FO3 and Oblivion, it'll just feel genuinely uninteresting and like they've run out of ideas on how to renew their formulas.

i'de like for it to be somewhere in New York, and you are exiled in the beggining and you find a city called new albany and a very big vault is there and its called armory vault,it has every armor and weapon you can imagine,BUT you need to find out how to open it and when you finally open it, the people of New Albany will follow you all the way to the undestroyed manhatten island and start a giant war,and you have to find your parents during this war, also your wife. Then after you find them, you have to find the corrupt president of manhatten and kill him, he is the one who made your life a living hell

and thats just a basic idea
(Fallout 4 idea)

i agree thwix, i've been saying in the threads that fallout needs to be in a city, not wasteland like hills and fields or whatever but city, urban, industrial areas etc, neighborhoods, and a big area, the same size area as fallout 3 but all city instead, kinda like grand theft auto type of city. thats like new york.

a winter place u know like an ice age somewhere to give the fallout universe a new look u know like the atomic bombs kinda changed the weather and made it snow.
could be like killer mutated bears and the water is freezing so ud need a special jump suit
there could be like a cave city
And like modern guns like the scar the ACR or the famas
maybe a plot in Europe
some drivable vehicles or horses
more flexibility with weapon creations
weapon scopes and laser pointers
more perks
higher level cap
new enemies
insanely weird super supermutants
u know small stuff like that

This.

I felt that Fallout 3 was kind of lacking in the amount of quests. That's all I can think of, really.

It should be set in Finland. We'd be drinking beer and liquors, grilling irrradiated sausages, listening to Turmion K?til?t with our pipboy and hunting deers with miniguns. Oh joy that would be awesome!

And here I thought that finnish people just was drinking Lapin Kulta, chasing reindeers and for the rest of the time being inside to hide from the sun to keep their white skin. I guess I was wrong. Sorry

For the next fallout game I'd like it if they did it in three separate maps, each map is 60% of fallout 3's main map, which in total brings us to 180% bigger map than fallout 3's.
And for it to also have several small separate maps like Satellite Array Station.
By doing this we could have more areas and more factions without the game feeling cluttered with unique stuff.
Each area could have it's on feel to it as well.
Maybe one area had it's plants and trees not go dead and tip over and the land is kinda green, one area could take place in a city (think DC only half the map).
Because I don't like that the games will only focus on one city/town from now on. (DC, Vegas)
The older games really focused on dozens of towns spread across a wide landscape.
Doing this could at least let us bring the 2nd generation fallout a little closer to the first.

I'm really feeling a european fallout. I think they should come back to the good ol USA after a european campain. Maybe set somewhere between the UK and Germany. Not in france though damn french, jk. :goodjob: France.
Or they could place the game somewhere between the US state of Alaska and the US state Canada (since by the game time-line Canada is part of the US.) Of course the one problem with a game set anywhere outside the US you have the problem of how will we under stand their languages. Even if our characters understand it, we won't, so we can't really have a game set outside the US, Canada, and the UK, that's a big speed bump.
I would really like to see some forests and snow. I understand that atomic bombs cause a BIG KABOOM. But in fallout 3 it looks as though every inch of of the US was bombed. I could understand Washington DC because its our capital but still after 200 years plants better start be growing.

Please for the love of God give us a satchel, bag, murse, lol whatever you want to call it for the stuff we want to keep for the entire game that we can always carry in our inventory.

The one thing everyone I know (including myself) hated in F3 was having to micro manage every damn little thing we picked up to sell. We had to worry about selling something we wanted to keep by accident in the wee hours of the morning during sleep deprivation while playing F3 because everything was lumped together.

Please make it so anything in the KEEP satchel does not show up in the sell option nor in the junk I pick up inventory section. F4 will be so much better with just that small change. I'm really looking forward to not dealing with that old annoyance in F4.

I know you probably won't change this but I also really hate the weight limit too. I wish there was a way to sell junk etc. that would let us continue on where we were in the world without having to fast travel so much. Please, please, please, look into this! Thanks!

I know that I'm not the writter or the creator of Fallout but I worked out this history for Fallout 4(based on Fallout 3 I'm assuming it will be a sequel):

After a decade the purifeir as been activated, the people around are starting to thrive in the wasteland...(just like the early stages of New Vegas I supose.) and you are into that context about repopulate DC the factions growing and colliding(hence CL and NCR) also the super mutant treat trying* to be eliminated(god, how I want to do that) you know, trying to blow up vault 87 and the BoS kind of govenerment there.

I just wrote that instead of features because I don't really care much... for me fallout NV could a expasion of F3 cause i loved it an Icare about the story, the campaign you know since it was always a single player game I'm interresed about it xD
ps:I do know some player choice paradoxes (blowing up megaton or not) but if they are making F4 they'll find a solution(maybe two playing modes with megaton and without) but I didn't think on that, just on a storyline that's all
pss:also just a SUGESTION (assuming F:4 is a SEQUEL of F:3)

I think they should make a continuence from fallout 3 and you have to travel for the capital wasteland all over the usa but the main story line should be like your going back west with the brotherhood to help the original brotherhood. and they can make cities all around the world for you to go to as dlc. they can call it fallout world tour

I like this, lot of landmarks like the Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty, it would be fun.

Also, maybe there could be some major army controlling The Empire State Building.

ALMIGHTY AUSTRALIA DEMANDS ^THIS

But unfortunately, since I'm realistic, I wouldn't expect this until something like Fallout 6 or a few game engines/consoles later, as feats of technology would be needed to accomplish such a task as creating such a prestigious sounding game as this (presuming he means that it is still a sandbox and not just a linear map across USA).

Does Betheseda even read these?? any ways

These would be my ideas.

1: have the Option to get a Brahmin And people would sometimes come up to you and wanna trade.

2:No Driveable Vehicles please. that would ruin the game.

3:Have the option to join a Faction like the raiders and you can go around with a group.

4:Be able to build your own little shelter

5:Be able to create your own Faction and Be able to Recruit

Thank you for takin my suggestions. hopefuly you take them into Consideration.

i'd like to definitely see a Fallout game that has a long journey that takes us through different locales. Having a character traveling from the east coast to the west or vice versa would be ultra awesome haha. Imagine going over the rockies, crossing the Mississippi river, braving the desert. Would just be awesomely crazy.
