I bought Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition from Steam recently. At first, it worked well. After an hour or so, it froze. Than it started freezing about every 10 minutes. I looked up on Google how to solve this issue, and I found a thread in Tom's Hardware that i need to change the .INI file and whatever. The guy on the forums said that it is a problem with Fallout 3 running on quad-core CPUs and that I had to change the settings on the .INI file so it will run on dual-cores. I did that and installed the k-lite codec pack, but Fallout doesn't even launch successfuly now - it keeps opening and closing the window where it says "Prepering to launch Fallout 3" until i just close it.
Please help, this is a wonderful game I really enjoy playing.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium with a Intel i5 2500 and Nvidia GTX 560 Ti if it does any help.
