i love this game and making a continuation of this story but i wonder if i can get it published? i don't think so because i am using the same characters and locations and it's againist the copyright law it's a shame my friends tell me my story is good so i guess i cannot do anything about it. i have been writing this continuation of fallout 3 for the last month

If you are using the setting and characters from the game then no you can't publish it, but if you want comments from the fans here, post it in this Fan Fiction forum and let us all have a read.

thats a shame i cannot published it and i have only 40 pages i don't this site can handle it. so why does fallout 3 have copied the names from (the thing R.J. MacReady as the mayor in lamplight) and other such movies and i cannot pubish my book fallout goes againist the copyright laws?

It is an original story that Bethesda made. I'm sure they won't allow a freelance writer to publish a continuation story, but it won't hurt to ask.

Also, I'm sure the guys and gals here at the Fan Fiction section would enjoy it. Maybe post a few chapters to give us interest and host the rest on a free site?

mmm I would post it but mine also contains bad langage and i only join yesterday and i don't want to be banned even if i did published it and i went against the copyright law you would not know who i am or even where i am how would the company sue me lol

Yep, glad you realise that the use of bad language is not permitted here. As to publishing it, to do so you need a publisher to take it on, who is going to do that if it uses the property of an established company who own the copyright?

It would be great here if you could tone it down to acceptable levels and give you an idea of how good it really is.

lol who is going to published it? please there are alot of sites lulu for one where you can upload your own stories and pay a small fee to have it published and i can name about a 100 more that's let you upload your own stories.

god i love monitors on these fourms when the games have bad langugage and some ppl use bad language IRL (in real life) what is the differance? none lol

who owns the copyright? i do because it's my own continuation of the story only gamesas owns the locations and characters.

There is such a thing called the copyright law and the protection of intellectual property law, and there are lawyers, and torts.

If these words don't mean anything to you, then go bloody well ahead and try to publish copyright material and just see what happens.

Go to fanfiction.com if you wanted to post your 40 pages of story out. But if you want to publish it, it could make it to the print shop, but not into the market
