Fallout 4 Suggestions dlc

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 7:40 pm

Hi everybody let me start by saying that im a huge Fallout fan.In fact the fallout series is my favorite, and i play alot of videogames.Everything from its sci fi post apocalyptic ambiance to the dialogue and elder scrollesque fps approach, its awesome,Fallout 3 is the best game of all time imo,and new vegas was awesome too.I was just reading Three Dogs bio,the radio host from Fallout 3,and the first thing thing that appears is a quote from him:The Enclave, and that includes their homecoming king,"President"Jonh Henry Eden and his gorilla,Colonel Augustus Autumn, are NOT here to help you.Three dogs was also countering Enclave radio propaganda, mocking them and even imitating the Presidents voice. He was a very charismastic, funny likeable radio host and imo fallout needs way more of that, the radio shows really did lack content and it was almost just music.Good radio shows, even talk shows would be awesome. Faction radio shows, rivalries, with different point of views and agendas, liberal conservatives ect, alot of voice acting on the radio, would make the game that much more immersive and enjoyable,it really would. The gta games come to mind, they did an awesome job with the radio stations.Maybe if our character could get in contact with the hosts via radio signals and influence the story through quests, and hear about their exploits on the radio, that would be pretty cool too.Crazy Alex Jones like radio hosts, hell maybe Alex himself, how awesome would that be lol.Now this is just ideas from a fallout die hard fan,and i realize the game is coming out in like 3 months, but another thing the folks at Bethesda could consider is offering the radio shows content and voice acting as part of a dlc!Considering how much the call of duty "snoop dogg voice pack"dlc sold, and that was just him saying a few sentences, its obvious the folks at bethesda would make a profit getting a few hours of quality voice acting in the radio, and selling it as part of a dlc,or even a dlc of its own!I know i would buy it.Btw i wanna thank Bethesda for their awesome work, cant wait for Fallout 4,and if anybody has ideas and suggestions for Fallout 4 id be interested in reading them, and hopefully Bethesda folks will be interested in reading them too :).Cheers.

It could be a great way to introduce new DLC areas relatively near the Boston area.

A small pocket of civilization some where in Canada or the next large settlement north of the Commonwealth large enough to support a radio station would be great places to anchor a DLC or two.

It would also show that Boston survived the war in much better shape than DC.

Of course I'd love to hear once in a while from Three Dog broadcasting from the Capital Wasteland.

Maybe when the weather conditions are just right or have better reception at certain times of day, we could hear him broadcasting. You could even explain the added channels by adding some sort of

Pip boy antenna booster attachment or by using a larger and stronger fixed location radio receiver.

One more thing,i realize that the opinion on that topic is 50 50 pretty much, and not alot of people did even see this topic. But getting some voice actors and adding more radio stations content WOULD be a beneficial addition,it would just give players more options,i guess some people just dont think it should be a priority and would rather have the bethesda game developers focus on other things. But really how much energy and budget would it take to record some people talking in an entertaining way related to the fallout universe and lore, and slap a price tag on that content as an optional minor dlc pack.Beteshda would definitely please a lot of people with this and make a profit, considering the huge fallout fan base and all that for what, just recording people talking and putting it in the game.It would be a win win that doesnt require alot of money or energy.

I listen to radios only on downtime, i.e. when I'm eating or whatever, so I think they're a waste of resources.

Salem? Eck. Been there way too many times. I'd rather pirates in Cape Cod/Martha's Vineyard, Something involving Westover ARB and the Springfield area, or even a trip up to northern New Hampshire over going to Salem. Nothing more than a glorified tourist trap..

Radio stations attract Deathclaws!

A DLC to explain why they do so might be interesting.

A trip to the moon would be awesome...where a crazy guy tells u to help him with a machine he is building then sends u flying to the moon and now u have to find a way back... dont know about u but that sounds amazing...ofcourse theres already ppl in the moon and a mysterious alien race that u have to investigate...pure gold for a dlc

I said no because I wouldn't want that as a DLC. I'd want it in the main game. So, yeah, I like the idea.

Providence, RI would work. It's right near Boston and has lots of water and some islands... and a state house that looks just like the U.S. Capitol building. Lol

If it is not in the maing game, it would be perfect place for Enclave civillians to be.

Same. It's only worth an official DLC if it comes with new lands and quests too, in my opinion. Unless we're talking like Hearthfire-level pricing, then it's a maybe. Otherwise this is an area for modders.

I'd rather the time and resources went into a new area and/or characters, to be honest. Radio stations are a nice touch and all, but I'm sure the several that will be in vanilla will be more than sufficient for me.

Correct Me if I'm wrong, but doesn't F4 come with the possibilty of creating your own radio station?

I dont know i just googled"fallout 4 create radio station"and it doesnt mention it.Where did you hear that? Also i guess if you can create your radio station it would just be a audio playlist of your own, they have that option in some gta games, that option would be nice i guess.Id still prefer radio station talk shows and faction proganda on the stations ,maybe even heated debates and listeners calls segments, though i guess thats stretching it,but it would make the game more immersive and engaging.Probably none of that will happen and radio will be 99% music, well find out when the game comes out.A dlc pack option for additional radio content with decent pricing would be a doable, reasonable, lucrative and relatively small investment imo,i hope Beteshda folks read that idea and apply it,please. Its an important detail that will follow our character throughout the whole game,it would be worth it.

Not as a pay-for DLC. It'd be the "Horse Armor" of Fallout. Added as a local flair for a new DLC area? Sure!

I think the only radio station I'd pay for is if it was from Post Modern Jukebox.

I'd like, but not as DLC, a public radio station like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mn3YEJTSYs8.

You know id like it as a part of the main game too, who doesnt like free stuff, but the game comes out in 3 months,i dont think they could add that feature right now in the base game if they didnt already. Also dont forget most if not all corporations number one concern is profit, thats why i suggest it as a buyable optional minor dlc pack,it would be lucrative considering its not a big investment and a fraction of the huge fanbase and new fallout players buying the dlc would be a non negligible profit return for a minimal yet important investment, plus a majority did vote yes so far, which is a good sign and an indicator more people would like that idea to happen vs those who wouldnt. As a part of a full standard dlc along with new quests, locations characters and items sure that would be cool, but they couldnt add as much radio content than if it came out as a dlc of its own imo, plus it could be optional and not really affect the gameplay and minimally affect the story, yet enchance the fallout 4 gaming experience for those willing to buy it.

But regardless,if they could add SOME talk show element or am radio station element, that would make me more happy than if they didnt, but i just think theres a lot of potential there for faction radio stations propaganda and other things mentionned above, time will tell i guess. Please Beteshda make this happen.

Nah...Radio is just a teeny part of the game. Just like settlements, needs to stay that way.
