I’m playing on PC and I'm often getting stuck in furniture or seeing issue with physics.

If this issue is experienced, it is recommended the user is keep the game's default INI settings. If the user's monitor is set to 60Hz, the iPresentInterval value should be 1, and if the user's monitor is set to 120Hz, the iPresentInterval value should be 2. Setting it to 0 uncaps the framerate and can cause the issues mentioned above. If the user's monitor is set to a value larger than 120Hz (such as 144Hz), they are advised to set their desktop refresh rate to 120Hz instead, when playing the game.

How can I get Fallout 4 to display correctly?

The auto-detect feature in the Fallout 4 Launcher will detect and recommend the best Aspect Ratio and Resolution settings based on your system configuration.

If you wish to change these, you can do so at the time of installation or through the Fallout 4 Options menu, available from the Fallout 4 Launcher. This menu allows you to set the Aspect Ratio, Resolution, as well as other options using a combination of the Graphics Adapter and Resolution information supplied by your system.

You can modify these settings using the drop-down menus provided and adjust the level of detail and other advanced graphics details using the Options menu as well. Note you can only change these settings outside of the game and prior to launching.

Make sure to save your progress, fully exit, and relaunch the game before applying any changes. For some graphics or performance issues, setting the game to Windowed Mode and Borderless may be of assistance.

I'm playing on PC and I cannot make any new saves, or my saves are not present when I restart the game.

This issue often has to do with user security privileges on the machine you're playing on. Check the PC for any software which prevents writing new files, and check the game folders to check that you have write permissions to those folders.

By default, the folders that the game will need to write to are in your Documents library. INI files are written to \Documents\My Games\Fallout4, saves are written to \Documents\My Games\Fallout4\Saves. Check that you have write permissions to both of these folders.

Note on console commands.

Use of Fallout 4’s in-game console commands or “~” key is primarily used as a debugging tool and as such is unsupported. Using the console may result in game issues, including but not limited to permeant quest breakers, losing the ability to fast travel, and broken AI. Use at your own risk.

Game-related FAQs (as new updates come in, we'll post here and at http://help.bethesda.net)

The Lost Patrol – I'm directed to return to Paladin Danse to complete this quest but I cannot talk to him about it!

This can occur if the player starts "The Lost Patrol" and then continues through some other quests before completing it. After the "Reunions" quest, the player will trigger an event where the Prydwen flies overhead. At this point, the player needs to complete "Shadow of Steel" and "Tour of Duty" before they will have the opportunity to complete "The Lost Patrol" again, as Paladin Danse will no longer speak to the player about it. After completing "Tour of Duty", Paladin Danse may mention to the player that any new information they get regarding "The Lost Patrol" will need to be given to Captain Kells on the Prydwen, this dialogue is easy to miss however and the player may easily skip over it. Either way, once "Tour of Duty" has been completed, the player can complete "The Lost Patrol" by speaking with Captain Kells instead of Paladin Danse.
