Fallout 4 Survival Mode update details

it would be nice if settlement defences did their job if we're going to play without fast travel. Really don't want to be walking for an hour to stave off a few ghouls.

I love everything about it but the sleeping! Only because the game can be unstable.If this wasn't the case,I'd say bring it all the way on!!

All this talk of toggles has prompted me to re-state my quickly-buried request for toggles on HUD elements. Regarding the Survival Mode Overhaul, however: I want it all and I want it now! I wish it had been an option from the start.

Sounds great, although I'm not a fan of not being able to save unless there is a bed nearby because everyone knows Bethesda and their not so stable games...



As for Fast Travel. I would make it so that you can at least fast travel to your settlements unless they heavily reduce Settlement attacks or make it so that your [censored] Settlers and turrets can actually defend the damn place without your presences.

That's what this is saying, Enemies are EASIER to kill, but so are you.



To the people that mention the no saving thing, do note that it does not say the game no longer autosaves. Just manual saving and quicksaving. So progress loss won't be a factor, but it does seriously inhibit the ability to save scum. A good compromise, in my opinion.

Everyone is focusing on the save thing. The one I don't think I care for is the slower repopulating. Exactly how slow are we talking about? I like the activity level of the Commonwealth and would hate to have it begin to feel empty. Particularly with no fast travel, you will be passing through cleared areas frequently moving to and fro and resetting the spawn timer. Some places may never repopulate.
