Fallout tactics Am I missing out?

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 2:23 am

I've beaten fallout 1,2,3 and new vegas but not tactics and wondering if there are any major events that could determined how fallout 4 might be if it ends up being in chicago and if i should get it if it does

Bethesda has said the High-Level Events of Fallout Tactics are canon. They also made the Midwestern Brotherhood Canon in Fallout 3. Chicago is mentioned in Fallout Tactics and in New Vegas.

So yeah it is possible you will miss out if Fallout 4 takes place in Chicago :tops:

Also it is a great game and has a real time option.

You should definetly play it, it's a good game gameplay and lore wise. Oh and I'd be interested to hear your choices and progress if you play it.

It is pretty solid.

FYI, seeing how you played 1 and 2 there is a huge difference in character development.

You can save your Perks. While not as big a whoop for your character, it is uber for your squad. By the end game you are some bad mofos.

It is straight out combat carnage, limited rpging, and a lotta fun.

Real-time is optional?!

I have to give tactics another chance then.

Yep, it's under options "turn based." Can set it to individual or squad and then there is another option to have slow or fast turn based. The default I believe is real time.

Yeah tactics is pretty fun, definitely worth playing. The perks for ghoul/mutant characters are all pretty cool too, nicely done.
