Don't know. I have my non-steam server up (hopefully) in the active server list. But, if it's actually working, I still set the PW to 'Fallout Dinosaur'

Hey.. are games local hosted when you create them? Wouldn't you just be able to type in, say Styles IP if he created a server, and be able to join? If Styles doesn't know his IP, he can get it http://whatismyipaddress.com/, and then tell it to us or something. Or I dunno how private your IP adress is supposed to be :s

I wouldn't suggest posting your computers IP Address. With it you can do all sorts of hacking. DDos... All that good stuff.

Maybe the different versions of the game can't assume contact with each other. (Far-fetched but still.)

Well, there is your Router IP (The Dangerous One)
Then there is the IP on your routers network, which is assigned to your computer.
The later is not private, and generally is only used for hosting. So I will post mine, and see if anyone gets a hit.

when you install Tactics it also askes you if you want to install gamespy arcade and sounds like its the main way of playing online, so maybe it only works through gamespy.

If you guys get this working im up for a bit of multiplayer Tactics.

No the game crashed when I tried to host.

Probably some windows 7 problems, I'll let you know when I actually get one up.

Server is up!

(Sorry for the double post, but I felt it necessary due to the 'bumping' nature of posting. Not to mention an edit would not change anything as no one is looking)

Edit: Andaius ninjad me, no double post.

I am able to get a game up and going without it crashing. I just need players because I keep getting "your teams was victorious" then ends.

I think the main problem is that, it may have originally been hosted on an official server (such as Battle.net with Blizzard games)
But now that the game is so old they don't host it any longer.
