Hey everyone. So my main squeeze got me the Fallout trilogy pack the other day, just out of the radness of her heart. I'm pretty excited about it. I've never played the first one or Tactics before and I've never finished FO2.

Currently playing a good-ish character right now on FO1.

So, with that said, are there any favorite quests or locations of yours that I absolutely must not miss?

Patch the game before you start playing it!

In Fallout 1, I like just about every place. So go out there and explore.

I just looked it up. Hopefully I can find the patch to fix the crazy colors on the screen. Compatibility mode doesn't seem to help.

It's been a long time before I checked it, but first and foremost if fixes the loading times (not sure how much of an issue this is at new computers though) which were horrendous. It also has numerous small bug-fixes. The reason you should patch it before starting to play is because it will reset your saved games.

There are also fan-made patches at NMA, though I haven't tried them myself.

Nice. I'll look into those then, thanks. I have played pretty far into FO1 already so I might just look for FO2 patches.
