So awhile ago i was paging thorugh searches on bing, I find that the u.s. military is developing "Powered Armor". Many Armies around the world are already in possestion of defensive laser weapons. sooo, I just wanted to know if anyone knows of any other tech, thats in fallout thats in development today.

Well, robots have been around for a long while now, though it'll be a long time before we have them as capable or possessing the limited free will we see in Fallout.

Ford concepted one back in the late 50s. Fortunately, it never went beyond the concept stage (One factor being that Nuclear Reactors never became anywhere near small enough) and thus it never entered production. Good job really, could you imagine the consequences of a major crash?

very cool! other car companies had similar concepts. I vaugely remember seeing a cadillac that was nuclear powered.

There are alot of terrible flaws, though nothing as terrible with cars today. One company being VW, they're engines contain some kind of metal that, when the car cathes fire, you can't put it out.

If it reassures you, plenty of other furturistic series have power armour.

Battletech/Mechwarrior, Starship Troopers, Warhammer 40k etc. And only half of those have a dark future in store for us

I've seen those, yes. But fallout 3's power armor was the most realistic looking, out of any game i've seen. the warhammer power armor looks rediculous to me.

The U.S. military has a better working version of these, available for use. looks more like an artillery piece though.

I think something better might be real world tech in fallout. I've never seen a TV that is bigger than my chest. Or imagine if the Internet was in Fallout, or maybe cell phones. Maybe even modern jets.
