My Pitch: (You don't really have to worry too much about this, I just threw it together, and it's in no way original, but it has written Fallout all over it, which is the point. I want to know how you guys will feel about a Fallout television series.)
Spoiler
The pilot would start the same way. You are watching a television from the 1950's play some old timey commercials, going through Vault Tec-Industries to Nuka Cola, then the camera pans out, while the music becomes more of an echo and more quiet. The camera pans all the way out past the BoS main headquarters of wherever the series takes place, past the first settlement the main character first visits, and finally to the opening of the vault the main character will be from. The vault, which is not closed yet, closes for dramatic purposes. Then the screen goes black and a film reel, narrated by Ron Pearlman begins and ends with "War. War never changes." I know it's not the most original idea. In fact, almost every Fallout starts this way, but that's why I thought this be a perfect opening. I'm sorry, but the series could not possible open any other way.
The pilot will also chronicle the main character's reason for leaving the vault. They series can start in medias res, with the hero already outside of the vault for two weeks and he has Dogmeat along with him, or it can start from the very beginning. Episode two can be about rescuing Dogmeat from being devoured by a couple of raiders. Episode one can be about the vault hero leaving the vault and encountering his first settlement, learning about the people and then finding out about that someone's daughter has been kidnapped by raiders. During episode two, the hero could save the girl from the raider campsite, and end up also finding Dogmeat. Dogmeat should probably be found fast since it only seems best that way. Episode three can be about the hero meeting the BoS for the first time, and the fourth episode can be about him gathering his first (and possibly only) ally, a ghoul, who he mistakes for a zombie.
Of course, along the way, the hero will meet Ghouls, monsters and abominations like radroaches and nightclaws, Super Mutants, the Enclave, as well as friendly people, like the Brotherhood of Steel. Each episode, while connected by one defining goal, which is the vault hero's reason of leaving, will be more like a Monster of the Week show, with the hero having to deal with a new issue.
