Fallout in Texas

It seems to me that if new vegas was centered around the alamo it would have been a much more interesting and dynamic location.
So I propose fallout 4 is in Texas and centered around the Alamo.

It could take place 20 years after the events of fallout new vegas, where the NCR pushed the legion out of arizona, through new mexico, and out of new mexico into texas.
The NCR's manifest destiny is sweeping across the continent and by the 24th century the have the western half of the country under their control. The legion need texas as a strategic position in their war with drug runners and mexican cartels (mexican cartels now resemble small nations much like the states we have in america today)

The brotherhood would occupy houston and supply the legion with energy weapons, power fists, and armor.

The legion rebuilt their strength in the city of San Antonio, TX and stand their ground against the NCR (the legion is now primarily composed of integrated drug cartel clans and mexican immigrants), so the irony is this time the alamo is defended, the whites are attacking the mexicans.

You can further the development of the NCR, the legion, the brotherhood, the cartels, the "new texas republic", independent factions in houston and austin, or launch unused nukes located in the commonwealth of cuba at various factions (stop the NCR from spreading, kill the legion, irradiate the rio grande, ect).

DLC: go to arizona
DLC: new orleans
DLC: mexico

Good idea huh?

California is very far along. The NCR has a huge empire and is pushing east. I can't remember correctly but I believe the Rangers talked of NCR pushing into Texas or New Mexico. I think if the NCR moved in then it would basically already be rebuilt. It might be like walking into the NCR capital in Fallout 2, everything is basically rebuilt. I think it would need to be further away so that major factions are just getting footholds, this way it's easier to side with the different factions. Kind of like New Vegas, no definitive controlling faction.
