Fallout: The Elder Scrolls

THIS IS FOR ADVANCED ROLEPLAYERS ONLY!!!! IF YOU WANT TO GO JUST SHOOT STUFF DEAD DO NOT JOIN!!!!! YOU MUST SEND ME A TELL FOR ACCEPTANCE OR DECLINE!

Ten miles south of Megaton. A large, oval-like, portal opened. It had a view of a forest with mountains, swamps, and a giant white tower. Guarding the gateway are two creatures in a dark red suit of armor, their faces are covered by demon-like helmets. They have a foul stench of blood, guts, and sweat. They carry dark red swords like their armor and have them drawn along with a dark red tower shield.

Kyle Smith, a rich wastelander has hired a group of adventurers to go in there and conquer anything if there is anything there. The reward would be places of power in his empire if they succeed. However, if they should fail they would just die there, and spend all eternity in the portal. Kyle has offered one-million caps to everyone as well if they succeed, a mansion, and an army. Should they succeed that is.

This is an idea so far... I need advice on it, if I should persue it.

I think Ringman pitched this idea, maybe in TES, I dunno...

... fallout and TES are very hard to cross. It's a great idea in theory, yes, but it's hard to match guns and lasers with swords and shields. my take on this?

Instead of uniting the stories, try uniting the two forums to participate in a single RP.

Swords and Magic vs. Guns and Lasers, ha, they'll see what little tricks I have up my sleeves for those pesky guns or lasers. Lets just say if I see a single fatman or experimental MIRV, you can enjoy a rusty iron dagger once you enter the portal. Your weapons will be changed, this is a cross-dimensional portal and I will not have weapons being willy-nilly the dremora are only an exception, because they are using bound armor.

So... what will the weapons be changed to? Bows and swords?

Bows, crossbows, swords (chinese officer swords can remain the same), etc.

These RP's are hard to pull off, but the person who succeeds in pulling it off is considered a very GOOD roleplayer. If not, can't say I didn't try. And besides this will be really fun :)

I'm not going to comment on that, because I'm sure it'll be against a few rules.

Zalphon, it sounds like you're doing a TES RP in the Fallout section with power armor. Why not have the Daedra invade the Wasteland or something? It works much better if Fallout retained actually being Fallout, instead of Fallout becoming TES.

Here are some ideas for factions...

Paradise Falls Slaver Expedition

Brotherhood of Steel Expedition

Enclave Expedition

Super Mutants

Ghouls

Megaton Expedition

Rivet City Security Expedition

Knights of the Nine (Very few)

Imperial Legion

Mages' Guild

Fighters' Guild

Dark Brotherhood

Morag Tong (Morrowind Areas Only)

Imperial Cult

Cammona Tong (Morrowind Areas Only)

Thieves' Guild

Any agreements/disagreements? More factions/less factions?

Edit: Thanks Shadow

I am now very interested in how this RP will play out. Roll with it, Zalphon.

Ah, I remember that. Probably one of the funnest RPs I've been in. rather than an Oblivion Gate opening in the Wasteland, it could be a different portal. The Akavari could have invaded Nirn, and hundreds of refugees fled through a portal made by the Arch Mage. Just an idea.

The grammar of your sentance puts me off, though I also disagree with only advanced RPers as well.

All items are transmuted to TES equivalents once you enter the portal. Power Armor=Steel, laser rifle=steel crossbow, etc.

Josh, I will accept you, but you must follow the rules.

Change advanced to intermediate and above (description, paragraphs, good spelling, not gun happy)

But then it would be mostly TES. Maybe people could have a pistol they could use only a certain number of times or something?

This isn't about shooting people dead. This is about character development, negotiation, diplomacy. I will allow "Bound Pistols" meaning they last for 12 shots, every player once they enter will have only one.

So, instead of keeping anything Fallout, we're just going to use all Elder Scrolls items? How exactly is this a FF3 roleplay again?

Yuor from the FO universe, going to the TES universe. Sorry this isn't a guns-blazing RP, this is more character development.

But we lose everything about the Fallout universe. The only thing we have is knowledge of the wasteland, but we're no where near it. There's nothing Fallout besides a pistol spell.

Like I said, you should consider having the daedra invade the wasteland, not vice versa. That, or characters and NPCs from the Elder Scrolls games are banished to the wasteland.

I understand that, but in order for this to be a Fallout roleplay, it has to have something to do with Fallout. Is there a threat that could destroy the wasteland we need to stop? Is there something inside this new world we can use to restore the wasteland?

I'm not understanding the goal and what it has to do with Fallout.

It probably be better if Daedra invaded along with other monsters, or the Imperial Legion tried to conquer the Wastes.

You're normal people who enter a portal to a strange new world filled with magic and excitement. You must either learn to live in it or find a way to escape. There will be a threat to the wasteland, once you get far enough into the RP, don't worry about daedra, be more afraid of the legion coming to conquer...
