I havent, try the BoS missions though, if anyone is up to speed on their remnants it would be the Brotherhood.

I don't think they are in the game at all. But i can't say for sure. You have the X-01 power armour which is the only piece of Enclave tech i've found.

I'm actually scanning for references now. They are mentioned once by name in a terminal on the Prydwen but all it says is "After the defeat of the Enclave". I've heard from someone else that Danse refers to them as "Rebels" whilst talking about the death of his mentor during Adams Air Force Base attack but I've only heard that, not seen it.

I would also be highly interested if anyone else has any info, being The Enclave and all.

They Just cant Be Gone ,like they were major "Characters" in the older games and in the past 2 they are becoming less and less relevent ,

I hope we arnt made to pay to see them as DLC ,that would svck (id still buy it though)

Just leave what's left of the poor sods to rest in peace I say, safe away from Bethesda's hands.

Well, they are not gone from the FO universe, just scattered and no longer connected.

Mostly just small remnant groups and an outpost in Chicago. There was never any evidence that they had an interest in the Commonwealth. Beth did some major handwaving just to drag them into DC, to be honest.

How many times do you have to nuke a faction before they're finally obliterated? I'm pretty okay with the Enclave fading into the annals of history, at this point.

Yes, they can be gone, and they should be. They have been defeated on all fronts and every last base destroyed. They are gone.

I agree with you there. I really appreciated the respect with which the Enclave was handled in New Vegas, with the Remnants. I can see Bethesda having a DLC which would treat the Enclave in a similar faction. I think the most obvious quest line route at this point for an enclave DLC would be going on an expedition to recover tech developed recently by the Enclave from their barely chilled dead fingers. Or perhaps finding a reformation of remnants on the East Coast kind of like in New Vegas?

The bottom line is that the Enclave has always come hand in hand with the revelation of new Tech. For example, in Fallout 3 with the Tesla and Advanced MK II armors, and the Hellfire armor. For this reason alone I would love to see a resurrection of the Enclave. Their experiments and new military tech is always amazing.

No information on here about the Enclave past what remnants are in the Mojave. If I were a betting man, maybe DLC? Return of the Enclave!

But right now its more like nonclave

Things get less relevant when there's practically nothing of them left.

The Enclave were great but they should stay gone now (as a major faction at least) or it's just gonna get silly.

But they can be gone.

The strength of the Enclave was that they were really the ONLY case of a vault working right. The USSA government had it's own vaults and they weren't designed to be any sort of screwed up experiments like the Vault-Tech vaults. So when they came out after the war, they had pre-war tech, the best scientists and their own small army. They reformed as the Enclave (lit. a distinct territorial, cultural, or social unit enclosed within or as if within foreign territory).

Fallout 2 ends with their main base being nuked. The AI at Raven Rock activated, summoned the survivors, and then they all got killed off in Fallout 3's ending. So all that's left at this point are rogue survivors and anyone left from the Chicago bases (hinted at in New Vegas).

So really their power is gone. Their main bases have been destroyed, their scientists killed off, their supplies of power armor and vertibirds tapped, etc...

They'll still be there, but as a reoccurring villain, they might be done. Fallout New Vegas might have handled the faction perfectly.

Well... Deacon once said something in line to this "To the new recruits I will introduce myself as John Henry Eden".

The Eyebots from Diamond City also must have come from somewhere...

If Enclave personel is in the Commonwealth, they're probably in hiding (like on the west coast).

I have read a few things about them here and there from Brotherhood sources I believe. Adams Air Force base comes up a couple times, and they may come up during the Liberty Prime quests. But they do not exist in the game in any other way. It really wouldn't make sense for them to exist in Boston anyways. Why in the world, after they had been defeated twice within a short period of time, would they retreat to the Commonwealth?

It is more likely they went towards Chicago which is the only other Enclave location we know of, and that is only supposed to be an outpost.

Eyebots aren't exclusively Enclave tech

No, but Enclave used them the most prominently, and they could be repurposed Eden's Eyebots.

I think they should give the Enclave a rest. I like seeing new factions emerge, rather then dealing with the same ones over and over again.

If they do come back i'd like to see them in a different path, maybe a splinter faction that broke away decade's earlier and went down a more benevolent road.

If they were, they'd probable look a lot like the Minutemen. A chaotic mess where random charismatic individuals take over and the group keeps splitting.

I definitely think they'd be in much worse straights than we've ever seen them (aside from New Vegas). Autumn's group probably grabbed most of the easy supplies in their trek east to Raven Rock, so any stragglers would be scrounging and scavenging.

I would argue against a benevolent switch unless it was a small group and done for a melodramatic "what a twist" moment in a game. The big ethical characteristic of the Enclave is that they see the wasteland as an abomination. They're there to act as a literal stand-in for the old world trying to finish off humanity after the war. Especially since each of their plots involved killing off every other living thing in the world other than themselves.

I've always argued that they'd be against trying to fight for the very people that they hate. As far as the Enclave is concerned the Wastelanders destroyed the Oil Rig, killed their families and nearly destroyed their entire civilisation. Ditto for Fallout 3.

There's no reason that they'd suddenly fall in love with the wastelanders.

If the Enclave ever thought about going to the Commonwealth I bet the Institute scared the crap out of them so they decided to go to other regions to 'level up' before going back. Only reason the Brotherhood had the balls to go into Institute territory is because they're a long line of soldiers and eradicating people who use tech irresponsibly is their mission.

Frankly, I would assume that the Enclave and the Institute would team up. The Institute scientists are one of the only sections of humanity untainted by radiation and FEV, so they wouldn't be on the Enclave's kill list. Plus, combining their scientific and technological superiority would form them into a truly frightening faction. Imagine the Institute teleporting in Courser troops wearing full Advanced Power Armor behind enemy lines, doing as much damage as possible, and teleporting elsewhere quickly before anyone can retaliate.
