Fallout the Movie?

Post » Fri Oct 26, 2012 2:32 pm

So I have a friend who said their was going to be a fallout movie. The plot is supposed to be about what happened before the war. Apparently Vault-tech placed a nuclear bomb in Beijing and detonated it to stop peace treaties from being signed between the U.S. and China. The plot sounds reasonable and could be a splendid movie. The problem is I haven't heard any news about a movie and know this friend to make up extravagant stories. So my question to this fair community is whether or not their will be or is a fallout movie in production. Secondly in the land of IFS. IF their was a fallout movie what would you like it to be about or even if you wanted their to be a fallout movie at all.

I'm pretty sure this belongs in Fallout Universe or Community Discussion, but there is no plans for a Fallout movie, there was a long time ago though.

First I haven't heard of that and it sounds like total crap. Vault Tec starting the Great War? That is just crap.

Should find a link and post it cause I have a hard time believing someone came up with that for a movie idea.

The idea of a Fallout movie has been around since Bethesda bought the rights or the name or whatever for a movie with the name Fallout. It doesn't mean they are going to make a movie, it just means no other company can make a Fallout Movie and profit off something Bethesda owns. Bethesda owns all things Fallout including the movie rights. It even means someone can't make a movie and name it Fallout. Even if it doesn't have any other Fallout content in it.

Sounds like you should get a better friend :P

It's without a doubt, a lie, and no I wouldn't want a Fallout movie, if anything, I'd want a TV series.

I could only see it flopping tbf.
But I think nuka-break made by wayside creation is a good series if you take it not to seriously.

I don't have a link for it as i said a friend of mine told me this, I hardly believed him either. I don't think the plot is terrible. To a certain extent vault tech accidently starting the great war makes a certain level of sense

On a different note i do believe the events before the war could make for a interesting political movie and that is why i asked wheather or not a fallout movie would be a good idea or not.
