Fallout the movie...?

(At first Im sorry for my not best english ;)

So hi everyone I am new here and I dont know if this or similar topic was posted before...

I played and ended many times the fallout series games such as fallout 1,2,3 and tactics

and I love them..( God bless Tim Cain and others creators).

I always wanted to see fallout as a motion picture specially the first one.

Yes, this atmosphere, this story, this plot...a world class work! This have a great potential for a motion picture!

Just imagine the scene when vault dweller confronted with the master in lower level of the cathedral

with all this present day CGI effects it would be awsome as hell!

Of course if the hollywood dont do the tipic low-based [censored] adaptation of all fallout franchise...

Damn why the people from hollywood thinks that they can write better the story than the original?

Ok maybe if they send the script for James Cameron or Chris Nolan they can do from fallout an outstanding movie

but who knows?

The question is if anybody feels that do a great movie adaptation of fallout is possible?

Personally I hope so and that we dont need to wait a for it an century...

Regards...

I don't mean to sound negative, but a Fallout movie might be a little cheesy. I don't mean that it couldn't work, but it's hard to imagine.

Did you ever hear of the movie called
Escape from New York?

That movie was not cheesey.

There was a couple other post nuclear war movies out there that were good.

I think it sounds good. of course the main character would have to be female, as all good post-apocalyptic movies have female action stars, (Resident Evil 3, Doomsday, ect, ect), I volunteer Rhona Mitra for the lead role.

And James Cameron with his special cameras as director.

Make it happen people!!

Hollywoods record of game to film conversions is average, they'd probably make an average film that would disappoint FO gamers. If they got a decent director then yeah it would be a good idea.

Mad Max, The Road Warrior, Escape from New York, A Boy and his Dog, The Book of Eli, Damnation Alley, On the Beach, etc. etc.

Nevermind how horrific movies based on videogames tend to be anyway. The good ones are cheesy, the alright ones are mediocre, and the bad ones- the horror...the horror.

it would have to be done right, and my guess is they would probably make a really deep story and thats not really the majority of the fallout experience, they would prob put some love story in there and just too much time spent on that, most of fallout is exploration and finding new things and new areas to explore, so a fallout movie would have to have exploration as the foundation, not some love story between the fallout main character and lets say some girl he meets along the way, even if they didn't have the main character falling in love with someone, they would prob add some other deep story drama and they would prob also put in tons of special effects, big explosions and crap like that so it would prob svck as a movie.
